That is the point of moving it to Friday night, TheCW as shown by their line up which shows they want and don't. SV used to be earlier in the week, but over the years the CW wants to become more like MTV with stupid drama shows.  This will be the last season for SV.

they said there moving it to fridays to help promote people to watch more shows that air on fridays, this better not be a bad move though. The only good thing bout fridays is there is far less shows to watch on that day compared to thursday, so if people are gunna watch TV there is a higher chance that they watch smallville.

i read an article i don't remember where but it says that Tom Welling has already signed a contract for up to Season 10! :) CW's longest runnung show is still at it's streak and for sure will be, i love the show and how kinda bit different the storyline went far.
