I thought Game Party was terrible. I got it for Christmas thinking maybe it could stand up to the Nintendo first party titles, but I didn't have fun with anything except for the shuffle board. Didn't seem like they even tried to me.

its a bit confusing to follow, if you never played both games. It would be better if you write the title of the game the fotage is from in the corner of the screen. Also you could show a screen with all categories + the winner of each categorie before you announce your final winner, so we can remember it again.

Great reviews all around but gotta give the nod to Carnival Games on this one. The carnival/county fair/boardwalk theme is a walk down memory lane for anyone that remembers playing these games as a kid. I think Carnival controls better, has more content, has better content and is a lot more polish than Party games. Carnival just feels complete where Party Games feels like an unorganized demo. There is no central theme although it could be called Bar Games. Trivia was also a huge disappointment.

The Fun Factor part is spot on. I've never been sure that Game Party was particularly good, but shuffleboard, darts and perhaps air hockey, do make it pretty fun to play, even on single player. Unfortunately for us Brits though, the quiz section was filled with American sports. I haven't a clue about Basketball stars!

I disagree. While its true you can make your own character, its a really weak character generator. It has a few normal options for your character and then a lot of worthless addon's for your character to wear.

Game Party is made for a party (obviously). If you put these two games up for play at a party. CG would be played a few times but GP would be played most of the time.
