That's an interesting point axiomiser. Most Muslim countries are not democratic. Back when Christian nations were not democracies and had high illiteracy rates (the middle ages) there was much worse Christian Fundamentalism (like witch burnings, the inquisition, etc.)
When I was in Turkey people were much kinder and more tolerant of differences then in Egypt. Turkey is more democratic then Egypt and the people are better educated. I think there may be a correlation.

Try and steal from us, why would we think that? Maybe it's because Islam has tried to conquer Europe for over a thousand years.
Now everywhere you look in the west the muslims are demanding that we accommodate their way of life. They have been nothing but a curse for our people and society. The religion of Christianity is NOT accepted nor welcomed in muslim countries so you tell me why the hell should evil hateful Islam be allowed in ours?

Agreed, in some muslim countries you cant, but ask yourself. Why ? thanks to the crusades and other wars started by christian(western) countries they cant be accepted their, however. The Crusaders only invaded lands that were Christian. They never attacked Saudi Arabia or sacked Mecca as the Muslims had done (and continued doing) to Italy and Constantinople. Their primary goal was the recapture of Jerusalem and the security of safe passage for pilgrims. The toppling of the Muslim empire was not on the agenda.
Christians and Jews under islamic rule were second class citizens - dhimmis.

Depends on the country. In Iran other religions are respected alot. Both jews and Christians are given a special seat in parliament, allowed to practice their religion freely, and they both like the country.
In Israel however, it is illegal for a jew to marry a Christian, the state won't recognize it. Also it is well documented the Christians get spit on frequently and disrespected.

And it's also been implied that the Crusades were to strenghten the pope's position. And let's not forget the slaughter of Jews on the way over. And also, before the 1800s pogroms were pretty rare, and happened based on the state of the economy at the time. When things were good, no pogroms. When the economy sucked, Pogroms were more frequent.

his conquest wasn't motivated by religion. All the lands he conquered were once mongol lands. He was motivated by trying to emulate ghengis, not islam. In fact he actially had friendly correspondence with several european kiongs, and he was liked for beating the ottomons. Yes he was a jackass and he was also a muslim.
