I loved this game back in the day! My little brother asked me to buy it for him and I was hooked on it. I whipped the Eternal Champion's ass like he stole a package. I beat the game with Xavier and Blade.

What a good game. Neat characters, good graphics for the time, good music. Sound effects are really shitty though.

I beat the SEGA CD version with Larcen once but forgot the ending cause it was so long ago :P Damn this game is very unforgiving I'll give it that...

There were ALOT of points you could have scored some free damage.

When he was in shark form, you just sat back as he reformed from his XYZ special instead of rushing him down after the last pass and tagging him right when he came back.

Also, in Snake form, when he's pushing you away with his ABC, he's wide open for a nice fat projectile.

Maybe if you fight him again, you'll try these hints out. Good luck :3

I remember that Eternal Champion douche. Damn was he cheap. All he did was stand far away and say 'fight' to drain your special guage or whatever it was called then use his ultimate full guage moves to own you. I don't remember ever beating him or even coming close.

Yeah, I had to use the cheesiest tactics in order to beat the Eternal Champion...he has to be the hardest/cheapest boss in a fighting game EVER!

Wow that's awesome, aharris82! Finishing the game with Slash must have been extremely difficult, seeing as he's one of the slowest fighters. Blade would probably be the worst character to use.

I personally liked Shadow's style the most and that's why I chose her over the rest. She is the closest to a ninja related character and I love ninjas!

lol ThousanWhite, I feel exactly the same way! I still don't know how I even put up with this game. The Eternal Champion really frustrated me and is a ridiculous final boss for a tournament based fighting game.

This was my second time finishing the game (twice in a row oddly enough, I lost once to the Eternal Champion the first time I finished it). I have never played it since.
