anyone, does the paddle matter? because i have a soft paddle but its not too good and i get spin but not enough, should i get a new paddle with much grip?

@patar49 Soft paddle,means that you will more force and spin to achieve a topspin,but a hard paddle means you use a lot less force and way more spin to be able to land it on the table,i recommend if your still a beginner,buy a soft racket with enough spin,to get used to the basic forehand topspin technique after a few months buy a more grip racket and adjust in using that.

im sorry lady, but terrible topspin! elbow way too low! upper arm is too close therefore to the body, etc.. no offence yeah! :-)

@dragonsfoe99 cant show but elbow has to be higher if you want to hit the ball on the top; also, easier to switch to backhand after a forehand topspin. The other problem of this video that arm is too bent therefore there is no forearm action which is the most important element of the forehand topspin. not too bad for beginners though :-)

I've developed a solid FH-topspin but now we have a new trainer (who was a pro player 20 years ago) and she want's me to adjust and improve my FH-topsin stroke. According to her I should make shorter arm movements. Actualy, only using the underarm as a FH-topspin stroke... Now I just dont know if I should learn the new technique or not?! To be honest I have my doubts about this new technique dispite she was a silver medalist at EC doubles once. :S
