EQ paved the way for WoW. Everything in WoW started in EQ. EQ has far more content and quests that are more challenging over the pushover quests in WoW. Graphics in EQ haven't been upgraded in some time but they are also less cartoonish than WoW.

They have upgraded EQ's graphics a good bit as of recent.....and with EQ having 17 Expansions, WoW does not have any where near the content.
