hmm.... when vulking equips the drills, he reminds me of the Giganscudo.
also as some mentioned earlier, yeah reals arent as good at damage dealing as supers, mainly for that reason as reals are supposed to be kept within a closer standard of "realism" (yes i know these kinds of robots arent close to real to begin)say) but they're helpful in clearing the "grunts" in a map with their high evasion stat, and can keep bosses occupies with their high evasion as well, since bosses aim for easy kills.

Vulking used drill arms, Jeeg must be soo pissed. Also Gainx want's it's pose back Raiking. Imagine when Gurren Lagann get tossed into the mix. I see a face frenzy atack in the future.
Man, Raiking is great in this game. It already comes with quite a few upgrades, an S rank in air, and bunshin. It takes very little to turn it into an invincible beast.
Seriously, it's supposed to be a Fragile Speedster, but the thing shrugs off dozens of attacks that would have disabled any other machine other than Dborak or the Darius Emperor machine.
Gaiking the Great has a common problem that many Super Robots suffer from: The Daizengar Problem. All (or most) of its attacks use large ammounts of EN.
However, it is a fracking monster worth every last drop of energy. Even unupgraded, it is a one-man-fighting-force-- just be mindful to attack sparingly with the heavy-hitting.
Agreed. the thing is a monster, through and through. Give it upgrades, and it could very well be your most powerful unit. It puts unites like King Gainer to shame... IMO.
Problem with that is Gainer and Gaiking are two different bags; Gainer is a fast and dodgy, low-damage output unit (comparatively, anyhow) while Gaiking's the clunky, breaky-stuffy unit.
Damage-wise, only Dann of Thursday will be likely to match ZA GUURETO.
True. Gainer is there to get the enemies attention (and attacks) while Gaiking is there to deal the finishing blow. Same with Dann and Eldora Sol. Its how they do things in SRW. Real Robots usually dont come close to the damaging capability of Super Robots.
While peoples' definitions of reals and supers waver lots, I'd like to say that the I. Justice and S. Freedom, due to Combination Assault, have some of the meanest damage output in the game, and fairly early on too.
I'm sure everyone counts it as Super due to its nature, but Kotetsushin Jeeg is also a ridiculous source of damage early on, thanks to Bronze Bell Power, and only gets better as the game presses onward.
Even so, the roles are reversed with Eldora, as it is a distraction for Dann.
Note: "...definitions of reals and supers waver lots..."
I count Jeeg under the Real bracket because it is a unit that relies heavily on its ability to evade and counter rather than huge burst hits a'la Supers.
Really, BBP is just a clone of SEED/Overdrive/whatever else, giving its own edge.
Supers imo are often unrealistic/"overpowered" suits, which often have many concealed, or huge weapons/attachments, whilst real robots e.g. Armored trooper votoms/zaku's only have obvious and realistic weaponry (machine guns). But, as you say, in SRT K, they treat Jeeg more as a "real" unit iin some respects, but meh....
Completely logical. However, in terms of the game, I try to keep things statistical-- not for the purposes of defining as per anime or anything, but to classify as unit types for strategy.
That being said, I can see how Jeeg would be more 'super' by conventional standards.

Random idea, am I the only one who thought those two enemy mecha looked vaguely like Power Rangers?

Probably the only bad thing about using Vulking is that Lee has no Hit and Away.

Dude.... every mecha show these days (the newer ones anyway) have homages to the older ones.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann? Take Gaogaigar, and fuse it with Mazinger Z or Getter Robo.
Kotsushin Jeeg? Take some elements from Mazinger Z, and Getter Robo, and splice them together.
I can go on, but I think you get my point.

@Zenjin000 Kotsushin jeeg is a homage to the original jeeg silly. That was a no brainer but you totally blew it.

Epic. Seriously looking forward to getting these units, and since Vulking's pilot (Lee) is already with us in Serpent I'll keep him leveled.
Awesome vid and thanks for all your hard work. :)

I know it's kind of late, Netmonmatt, but could please post the attack names; at least that one double tomahawk attack of Vulking.
