Odd...many academics on private campuses say the warming's overhyped; many working for the IPCC or US govt (their source for grants/salaries) are the ones scaring us into accepting "global warming taxes"? The 1000s of scientists cited mostly come from the UN (which even liberals admit is very corrupt and useless) Before panicking, let's just make sure these elites don't have waterfront homes subject to rising tides.

France voted "Right" (which doesn't mean much in a socialist country) b/c it's experiencing a natural decline as its economy is being linked to that of low-GDP EU countries. It's the same reason that we're losing jobs to Mexico: these stupid trade agreements. France won't be getting any better under Sarkozy either; the French voted the way they did cuz they're desperate to stop their inevitable decay, as is happening to Holland, Germany, etc.

Get off of the global warming topic. This is a nonissue. Humans have put less than 1% of the amount of green house gasses into the atmosphere than have occured naturally over the life of the planet. One major volcanic eruption puts more green house gasses into the atmosphere than what Humans have their entire existance on the planet. Get over it already.
