uhmmm, there are 90 million Filipinos, you cant find a volunteer? There are two giant Tv stations, solicit volunteers from either a kapuso or a kapamilya,,time is of the essence for what...making money or saving lives.just do it.
UNICEF Philippines have a facebook account if you go to the notes tab at the side bar dated October 16,2009 there have been an announcement of a need of UNICEF volunteers to help pack goods at DSWD. So probably if don't see volunteers in the UNICEF warehouse you can see where are the volunteers are in the UNICEF's facebook.
salamat sa technology, bago pa napunta sa masama eh natutukan na kaagad yan mga donation, thanks to the vigilance of the filipino people, and to the one who posted this salamat din sa patuloy na pagtulong sa mga biktima.
And we need more volunteers, so please before you make a comment, please prefix it with which days and times you can volunteer ok? Stop the blame, do something about it. that's my purpose for putting out this video
I posted the video. Like you my first reaction to reading the blog was anger. I don't know about you but I've been volunteering with rescue and relief since Ondoy with Red Cross. When Pepeng hit the north, I organnized ferrying of goods there. And I tell you, it was harder to get goods, people and vehicles this time. I also don't know about you, but what I did is to go there to yes see for myself but most importantly to help move the goods. I am not with DSWD, UNICEF or Red Cross. Just a citizen
man, its a good thing that ella posted that blog. because maybe if she didn't, no one's going to build this good publicity here, trying to convince everyone that they're really doing their jobs. TIME is so important, it could save life! so why only now? i thought that we are in a state of calamity, meaning everything is an emergency. ORDINARY people, ARTIST, and even OTHER countries are helping us and giving their best but our gov't is showing how incompetent they REALLY are in times of crisis.
Finally! Now DSWD has volunteers to help it distribute the goods after weeks upon weeks of keeping the donations on-hold instead of giving them out to typhoon victims.
No matter what they say, DSWD has been unbelievably incompetent. Don't they have employees who they could ask to spare time to pack the goods? If there had been no volunteers, would these donations still be moved and distributed?

Address: DSWD warehouse, Chapel Road, Pasay City (behind ATO Office, towards NAIA II). Look for Ensha Ancheta/UNICEF or Ms Fabian/DSWD. tnx
