I saw it or heard it from another knapper. Try it it really works well when you divert the shock wave into a bad area. Watch all the video s and ask lots of questions and TRY THEM! Only way to learn your style.

Shock wave suppression? Good stuff.
Been knapping since I was a kid. Didn't get good till I bought a Ishi stick. What I have made was given away. It's fun but hard on the back.

Ok you got me. That flake you blew off at
1:01 was a real peice of work. It looked like
pure trouble going in. I never squeezed a rock to turn a flake. Talk about physics, Eienstien never thought of that.
