@riccailgrande mh.. you are comparing 1000 cc bikes with 125cc bikes. if some producer would have the balls to build a 1000cc 2stroke with a good chassis and a reliable engine, this bike would fuck everything. it would by lighter and would got more power. look at the aprillia rs250, 60hp.Extrapolate this to 1000cc, than you would get 240hp. okay, this bike wouldn´t be controlable anymore but very very fast ;)
i got a tzr from 89 28hp and dose a 100mph easy! and i have kicked cbr,nsr,som rs, one mito and all offrode 125bikes and som 400streetbikes aswell! its a awsome bike! 5/5 for Tzr!
My DT has the same Minarelli 3RM/4BL engine. It has 48000 km now and NO need for new parts yet. Open - just full throttle 'all the way'. Minarelli made the best 2-stroke engines out there!

Totally open the NSR is just pure shit! Open the TZR's MINARELLI (!) engine with the same carburator diameter the NSR has and it smokes even the RS and Mitos.
I've rode the old tzr with the valve fully opened. That was the great thing with the OLDER models, you could simply get near 30 hp from it in minutes. I believe the newer models were restricted for the learner law and was slower but were better looking. My mate got over 100 mph on his tzr clock.
if there was a corner there the tzr woulda owned the nsr though, nsr = to bulky an heavy an hard to work on, altho the nsr in a straight line well fuck me ive ridden alot bigger bikes that dont pull like that!

they have been produced since 1987...
They both same..just NSR gots power valve that opens on 8.000RPM..
TZR gots the same power valve, that opens randomly from 6000-8000RPM...
and both of them can't pass 40 000KM ... without changing the piston and rings...
