You are only a home inspector and not an expert of gas fitting! I am a Gas Technician and specialize in that field. I deal with home inspectors almost on a daily basis. Unless something is so fucked up it kicks you in the teeth most home inspectors don't even acknowledge most problems. Also looks like they were using GAS TITE. Which would mean they have also stripped the plastic coating back to far from their fittings.

@kotakintai Rather than bad-mouth inspectors, perhaps you should think about how much business you get from inspectors. And how much more you would get if you were to teach a class to inspectors in your local ASHI chapter. We're always looking to learn from the specialists in the various trades. As for me, from the attitude you've displayed here, you would be the last "expert of gas fitting" I would refer to any of my clients.

Shows that you are an idiot yourself home inspector. Where they took off with that yellow pipe is illegal anyways! You are NOT ALLOWED to run gas lines from the bottom of a drop for an appliance like they did. They lowered the dirt pocket and added that nipple and tee in there to take off with the flex which is NOT ALLOWED!

The video addresses one aspect of this installation. I recorded the condition that I thought would be the most obvious to those who are not plumbers or experts like yourself. You did not read my report. You were not there for the inspection. So you have no idea of the additional comments and recommendations that I made concerning this installation. If you are going to insult me, please base it on a thorough understanding of the situation.
