The way you read those 2 lines...I replay them often, for feeling. The way you read those 2 lines would be poetry enough. That poet would have been happy hearing you I think. Thanks for posting it.
I love the way you read this - its perfect. Just that way I say it to myself in my head. BTW it is lovely living near the sea, I'm lucky enough to see it every day, and Masefield really captures how it makes you feel.
And LoveCraken, are you completely deranged or just suffering from food poisoning perhaps? I ask because I, being the curious sort, wonder how a person can be phantasmagorical which means "characterized by fantastic imagery and incongruous juxtapositions"? As I say, I am simply curious. -Syvak
I like how you weren't arsed with toning stuff down and you went all out, because it shows you're not afraid of making a mistake. Also, I liked the sun.
superb..My own humble beginings so narrated with your words. As a child of two, travelling the Irish sea, so imprinted in my minds eye my first glimpse of a star filled sky whilst stood alone on deck. The sea wild and the rancid smell of the seasick below deck. So many bodies crammed in to little space.
Beautiful recital, a very moving poem. The way you emphasis some parts, your voice filled with passion, emotion and warmth. There is clear evidence of empathy, a true understanding and sincerity deep in your performance. Why, I do believe you're walking on a beach somewhere.................:-)

Thankyou for posting this. Very well read.
I am lucky enough to be able to swivel my chair to overlook the sea, hills (not mountains), meadows and farmland.
