  • So this program only runs on Linux?

  • so what you did was just bombard it will thousands of common passwords till it accepted one???

  • omg what a noob. dict attack is maybe working if you're a idiot. bruteforce may working if your password is weak, but try cracking this:

    1@c1BisGKgbGi59d^Qp$MddL!

without knowledge of the password. with a modern pc it would take years to crack that useing bruteforce. even with cuda it still would take years, or do you think the CIA and other international security agencies are that stupid and are using unsave encription algorithems? noob.

  • U will never need this. No on of you will secure his wlan with a Password "Melody" or "Trafficstuff" or something else. Bruteforce attacks are senseless. Also u can use this programm ONLY on Linux. I will swear 99% of the people here do not use Linux or know how to install a Wificard on it or to find a wificard for Linux.

  • hmmm.. cool

  • -if you will crack wpa with world list is like you want to find a specific dust in the sand.

is almost impossible to crack wpa exept if you have a simple pass-phrase. I tried thousand wordlist , rainbow tables just not working. .the samples manipulating because the pass-phrase is already known . do not waist your time kiddie

  • Very weak password. That's why it was so easy.

  • Your computer is so slow. 37.3 kp/s

  • when i start to get HANDSHAKE it does not get handshake and either gets very low packets or say AP and Wlan0 CHANNELS are different ??? why everything goes ok.and wep cracking is also ok..but not wpa and wpa2

  • i found the program but u should still provide a link to make it easier

  • what the fuck man can u just send me a link to the program geez use megaupload or somthing

  • Why don't you just search the web?

  • Its cool, but alot of people are using passwords like sdsd454sdd so this method wont help :(

  • dude awsome vid. just one question tho will this work with vista??

  • No it won't.

  • You can make your own wordlists with tools out there.

Ex: you could make a word list with alle the letters from A-Z and a-z, and it would be like a brute force attack, and not like a dictionary attack you have seen in this video, but you will find out that is becomes VERY large very quickly, and it will take forever to run through it. The problem is that no one has figured out a mathematical way of cracking the WPA encryption yet. As far as I know.

  • How bout try cracking a 64 character random password with both alpha numeric characters in it? Bet your dead already before you even come close.

  • what's german.txt.....i've a handshake,and now?

    aircrack-ng wpa-01.cap -w ????

  • can me ask somethg, whre can i download linux??can u sugest me the website?

  • so if my passphrase is in a different language and its all weird is it harder to crack than having a password for example "dogs" or 'cats"

  • Yes, and not only for this ;)

  • @Crackwpafr the site isn't in English ? can u point me in the right direction please?

  • do i need linux for this?

  • If you have to ask that don't even bother with this go pick you up a good linux manual on commands. BTW i think that is a comparison table attack. Or pattern recognition if you noobs knew what that was.

  • @yjakez Linux R God.. Running Ubuntu and happy i changed

  • yes, backtrack is an linux disti how can crack wlan, windows programms, etc.. But if you want to install it, don´t choose the virtual iso (VMware), choose the HDD iso and istall it on your pc!

  • if i make this pass oi4uhgy4u73fjdwh u wont be able to crack it u script kiddie!!!! and thats a dictionary attack!!!!! noob!

  • Sure, I'm a noob and a sk... So I go back to the rogue AP scripts I'm working on. I hope you feel better now you wrote this.

  • totaly agree, there is people working on real method to crack this with a method more like cracking 64 and 128 bit wep

  • thats not even bruteforcing, thats a dict attack.

  • Yes it is.

  • It's practically close to bruteforcing kinda the same thing.

  • Same thing...

  • @ghostgoose hehe use said dict... which sound like dick..

  • Just search the web about "Aircrack-ng", and you will find everything you want to know.

  • hello i want to crack a wpa and i want to know what did you use to crack it, give download links in your more info or something people are left confused!!!

  • GET LINUX

  • only you are... READ THE BACKGROUND OF THE WINDOW FOOL... BACKTRACK... or use google to find out.. think for urself

  • You're right. There are other interesting ways to attack WPA encrypted networks. For example, you can try to set up a rogue access point, and get the client connect to it. You can also try to use Tkiptun-ng.

  • Well i can tell that if someone has just random letters for a password you wont be able to crack it.

isnt it possible to crack wpa without a wordlist?

i think there must be some way. im bored of cracking those WEP security's xD!

  • bruteforce it...takes ages (depending on ur machines performance) but no list needed

  • Learn how to use the aircrck-ng tools, and follow the video.

  • dude i looked up the site but dont know what to do

  • Cute, but you need to have a Client Connected, That aint always the case, ill try again tough but i cant even get the first handshake key

  • i want packets for crack wpa but when number is not corret and i cant get nothing please can you help me

  • Comment removed

  • Are you really sure?

  • Ehm... how did you know you had to look for a German word??? EH!EH!EH! I think it's not so easy as it would seem!

And, btw, my passwords are NOT crackable! AH!AH!AH!

  • Just like you said, unless... This is just a problem of computing power.

  • I got a 64 Hex Characters (which equals actually 256-bit)password created with a ultra high-security password generator used by many business's. And I go through a sock-5 proxy with a vpn and a $1000 firewall. I also got SSL, WPA2-PSK AES, Encrypted Operating System, and more. If you can hack into my wireless setup, you deserve a big big BIG cookie, probably the size of china. But of course you can't unless you had the most powerful super-computer in the world. Which cost trillions.

  • Why is this FreezingHazard moron hitting every wpa2 cracking video with some challenge. I bet if I sat on the curb outside this guy's house with 3 of my friends we could crack his shit before supper time. $1000 firewall. Bullshit, unless he is living in the loby of some chain of banks. What normal civilian is going to spend $1000 on a firewall?

  • i knock you down and burry you till you give me the key... so what now ?

  • you wouldnt need a sock 5 proxy and a vpn, you dumb noob

  • y y

i will teach any1 who wants to crack wep/wpa for a small donation of any amount that u see fit.. GUARANTEED!and other tricks

  • Backtrack 3 is capable of so much more than just Wireless Cracking witch everyone seems to demonstrate (A bunch of hacker wanna bee's) . In the right hands BT is a very powerful hackers tool and nothing can stand agents its awesome mite !

  • You're right man.

  • "nothing can stand agents..." Agents, where? Are we in the matrix? I belive the word you're looking for is "against". What idiot goes off on a monologue about hacking but can't spell? Honestly.

  • just a typo dude... relax

  • what USB adapter do you use ??

    It has atheros chipset ?

  • Not this one, but it also works with atheros chips.

  • who is so stupid to use a pass like mercerces on a WPA2 network. It's an attack using dictionary.

Simple ataque de una red WPA2 usando diccionario nada vale la pena de este video.

  • Sure, but there are many people using basical passphrase on their WPA/WPA2 network... That's just a demo.

  • Is there anyone here who'd like to take up a challenging handshake file to bruteforce for WPA cracking? I can't crack it and I have exhausted my 300MB of dictionary file?

  • Hey man, you never give up, don't you?

  • Hey. I have been able to successfully crack a lot of WPA networks but this friend of mine who challenged me to it doesn't know anything about cracking. I was able to pull up a WPA handshake within minutes but it has been 13 hours and I just ran out of my dictionary files (I have two - one not so extensive). They didn't work. The guy is French and if anybody here wants to give it a try, let me know, I'll send out the BSSID and *.cap file. Thanks!

  • Sure man, this is only your third spam about it lol

  • just a small detail but thats not a brute force attack,it's a simple wordlist attack, wpa is tecnically unbreakable by brute force because of the number of possible keys it would take forever...

  • Wow you make it look easy. I can't even get the site in english at this time! I'll keep trying! All I have is backtrack 2 without a dictionary! Not even sure if im using the right wireless card!

  • getting the information on a network isn't hard, it's cracking the actual password that can be impossible. As long as the password isn't in a dictionary, i don't know how you could guess it? even if it was like 'dinosaurralph', two simple words/names, how could you guess that

  • You're right. That's a dictionnary attack, nothing more. Weak passphrases makes weak networks, and strong passphrases makes strong networks...

  • Rainbow tables do the trick if the table is big enough. Since WPA takes the passphrase AND the ssid to make the key, the tables have to have different subtables for each ssid, you can see where this makes the tables MASSIVE.

  • You're right, massive and very long to compute. Cracking with CUDA power is the next step, which will give good results with parallel computing :)

  • any link for cool wordlist{s}?

  • there is one in backtrack

    cd /pentest/password/dictionaries/

    then

    gunzip wordlist.txt.z

that will extract it from its compressed file.

  • If I use random letters and numbers instead of normal words like patrCKlonGworth12532haRdcOre398soNg31 / random> RtoX42DvroTlKL437865FeSym32LLo It is still not hard to break in to my network ?

  • With a strong passphrase like this one, you're secured enough ;)

It won't be in any dictionary, so I'm pretty sure no one will be able to crack it, no problem for your network!

  • rainbow table....

  • well it can be cracked if a person as a wizard or a guru started some shit with you:) believe me, any passphrase can be cracked no matter what it is.

  • there are different sites

  • can you give me the link to download backtrack2 ? i cant find it

  • sure: search the web man!

  • yo i cant even download its in french and i translated but i dotn know whats the code for download

  • can you give me the link of the program?

  • this is what u told me.

You have to choose strong wordlists to crack WPA, and you'll probably need to try several wordlists before cracking one WPA encrypted network... WPA cracking is HARD!

  • i got it ..thanks for your help

  • i do everything right but i cant get the handshake can u help...thnks...

  • Sure,

The most important thing to get the handshake is to have a valid client connected to the AP. Then, as the handshake is an exchange of packets between the AP and the station, be sure you have a good wifi signal ("rxq" column in airodump-ng must indicate a strong value, above 50-60). If the signal is good, you'll get the damned handshake!

If you can't catch the handshake, you probably need to get closer to the AP.

  • so what is it?

does it find make wordlist so u can crack?

  • You have to choose strong wordlists to crack WPA, and you'll probably need to try several wordlists before cracking one WPA encrypted network... WPA cracking is HARD!

  • I want a tutorial on using RAINBOW TABLES (pre calculated tables) to crack complex/long WPA/WPA2 passphrases!!! CowPatty!
