Nice tips bud, appreciate the candor, the wind was the best tip as I was generally starting out on the wrong side of millerton lake, at the end of the day having the wind push you back to your car is a great idea.

I took my home made canoe to Galvaston and padeled agenst the wind for an houer or so along the beach .on the way back (with tierd arms) I could sit ,just correcting for direction and go the same speed

well not all the time it makes it easy ,because the wind changes direction but yeah its a good hypothesis..
