After this I heard 'cRUSH"; and I began to research the band's style, musical concepts and musicianship and have come to the convincing conclusion that The DMB has the Greatest live performance imaginable. Their synery and pure mussicianship is unmatched in modern music. The are BAD!
I am 71 and I love Dave. Those wharpin' about how bad music of today is, just wait, it is as changeable as the weather. You get some good and you get some bad cycles. But it is all expression. Let it flow and let it go.

Phish are all competant to above competant musicians, but save Trey, none of them are close to virtuosi. And even Trey isnt godlike; just because you use the Mixolydian mode in a lot of your solos doesnt make you a virtuoso.

Secondly, while Jon is an above-average drummer, he isnt anywhere near Carter's league in terms of technical finesse, polyrhythmic fills, and his *consistantly* creative use of odd time signatures. You might be better off claiming "Brain" Mantia is a more skilled drummer than Herb. DMB doesnt have a full time keyboardist, irrelevant.
