Holy guacamoly!! I have some of this stuff. I won a sample bottle at a horse show and I just LOVE it. I never thought about using it in my fake tail, though. What a GREAT idea. Thanks for the tip!
highly recommend the product called "shine". my tail ext. used to get all caught up in my mare's tail. mom and i were at a tack shop, bought it and it helps soo much better! its a little slippy, so you have to put in a tighter braid, but its worth it. =]
He's beautiful and your riding is great. The ONLY thing I can really pick on is that you have yoour heels down so well you've sacraficed good lower leg position to get it. Bring your lower leg back behind the girth and your seat will be MUCH more secure and you'll be able to push him into the bridle easier. But you may have to bring your heel up a little for this...that's OK!
I paid $150 and bought a fake one. Bwuah!! No, I'm serious. It's not real. Fake tails are all the rage on the Quarter Horse circuit. I happen to love thick, pretty tails and so I was more than happy to play along:)
If you check out my other video--Bippy in February--you'll see what his tail *really* looks like. Just bear in mind that I had draw reins on him in the February video so he won't look the same:)
lol, I use MTG (and im beginning to become skeptical of it's ability to actually do what the bottle says...) I do eventing so 'no fake tails allowed' ( but i still love your horse's "tail) ;)
Ooo! Me, too (about the MTG). I bought it for a bite mark on Bippy. Alas, he still has no hair there--and the bite happened about eight months ago. Sigh. If only things worked as advertised:)
Too bad they won't let you use fake tails! But I guess I can see why. Don't think you'd want one getting hung up on a coffin jump;)
