  • Why does the guy at the start wear a KFC bucket on his head?

  • who givs a shit. its hilarious!

  • @camdecool to receive a blessing from the colonel.

  • put genki sudo on the taekwondo mat with this guy genki would probably get knocked out in turn. The tkd guy is not a ring fighter, genki sudo is. This fight is like throwing a figure skater into a hockey game.

  • Nice combat.

  • is this taekwondo vs muay thai or just muay thai?

  • genki sudo is a karate/ wrestler. other guy is taekwondo.

  • 'KFC man' lol

google a guitar player named 'buckethead'

  • ive only watched 23 secs and KFC man rules lol. x

  • lol wtf.... nice hat?

  • To all those people dissing Genki for being sloppy, of course he wasn't taking this fight seriously. His opponent does TKD, and as we all know, TKD sucks.

  • KFC hat! LAMO WTF what a DUMBASS

  • i would wan tto see a shaolin monk fighting them

  • for real to the guy below. sparring is practice for real fights or tournaments, and in sparring you dont try to knock your partner out cold! its just a different style, kinda like kickboxing.

  • you're right he is very unorthodox.. both were ok.

  • you can't deny the sheer power behind Japanese (especially Okinawan) martial arts.

  • wow cool punch reminds me of zangief from street fighter 2

  • definitely not bad. i prefer real sparring, but its cool to see the different styles.

  • real sparring??? what are you looking at in this video that leads you to belive it isn't real?? It's just different from other arts but definately REAL

  • hahaha I think Korean guy is much tall...

  • spinning back-fist is cool

  • HA KFC HAT

  • genki is very unorthodox in his fighting method. i've seen this guy alot and he sure know's what he's doing. fights are not only physical, but mental battles as well

  • ginki fuck around too much

  • I once saw some fights with different fighting styles vs each other... like a boxer vs a sumo-wrestler, kinda funny... every was allowed except hits to the groin and choking... one of the fights took about 2 sec. The martial arts fighter runned for his opponent, jumped into the air and kicked his knee into the face of the opponent who didn't knew what was coming... real cool

  • sweet, sounds like a thai boxing (muay thai) technique.. u were were probably watching Pride Ufc..

  • A backhanded roundhouse knockout! Are you kidding me? Wow really entertaining spectacle.

  • Nice fight. Those spinning back-fist are deceptive.

  • kick boxing is awesome

  • when tkd guy lose that doesn't mean that it is not effective but it depends on the guy him self and his technique in fighting

  • lmao, the masks xD

  • i love how these people bow to each other, hug each other, and congradulate each other like that. I haven't seen american boxing too much, but I do remember tyson biting some dude's ears.

  • very true

  • hehe i loved that, i love ghenki caus his style is so unique, im glad i saw him throw a backwards round house punch :S to win the round :) go ghenki

  • that was f*cked up

    the jap guy was worse

  • I am AMerican but are you stupid? Who do you think won the fuckin game? It is obvious the Japanese guy won. What the fuck is the problem with your Canadian brain?

  • haha i reckon canadians are smarter

  • KFC bucket on the head

  • lol. Not martial arts.

  • WTF? What's with the fuckin family bucket on the head? Anyways, is this K-1? Pride?

  • Was an ELBOW finisher. Not a fist if you noticed.

  • The Korean Guy won!

(look closely when the side headinings come up)

  • lol are you stupid?

if you cant read japanese then dont say something as stupid as that

    Sudo Ganki won this one

  • i would lile to see these guys figth the diamond dekker

  • Scarborough 4-1-6 STAND UP!!!

  • This is just TKD, which generally only looks for the big finishing moves versus the unique (read:strange) striking style of Genki Sudo. I like TKD, but it's not a complete striking style. Big flashy spinning and jumping kicks ARE very powerful and useful to end a fight, but you can't just throw those all the time...you need to set them up with a more simple, direct style first. TKD is like the icing on any striking style.

  • tkd suck

  • domo arigato mr roboto japan sucks ive was there 4, 4 years it sucks balls

  • Eh? Japan is awesome, what are you talking about? NYC is mediocre compared to Tokyo. Almost everything Japanese rocks, except: MIRUGAI and NATTO

  • Nice back fist for finish!

  • It is tae kwon do. If you listen carefully to the announcer, he says "tae kwon do". People see this and say tae kwon do isn't any good, but they're just using the wrong attacks at the wrong times. Tae kwon do combines speed and power and uses practical, effective attacks.

  • haha kentucky fried CHICKEN!!!

  • while I agree this wasn't a great fight I have to say that the comments on here are very ignorant and unimformed. Most of the posters on here if put in the ring with either one of those men would look like fat retarded girls throwing slaps widely and would be dealt with quickly and easily.

  • pussy japanesse

  • man dats so live

  • wtf man dats fuken shit, cunt Knocks him out with a spin punch man where the fuks the vibe in dat ....MMmmmm morph 1289 gotta agree with ya...

  • This is Sudo Genki, or Genki Sudo, if you're from Japan. He's the one with the kfc bucket on his head in the beginning. This is not his art. His art is mma, but this is kickboxing. The guy he's fighting is a Tae Kwon Do world champion, i believe.

  • this is taekwondo of course it lacks principles such as defence and direct line for attacking. they aim to do fancy shit but in the real world without rules they would not last long.

  • haha that's retarded. you obviously have never taken tkd or you would no that it focuses solely on direct line attacking with simple moves and very little on fancy forms like kung fu stances.

  • sorry. I have never taken TKD therefore i do not know its main principles. I base my assumptions on my analysis of TKD fighters during tournanments. Perhaps you would call a roundhouse kick "a direct line attack" but based on my knowledge of kung fu and common sense it seems that making a full circle and then kicking takes much longer than to sidekick or front kick, leaving one open to attack. Sorry if i offended your style of martial arts.

  • Np man, I'm just sayin what i know lol

  • The only reason tae kwon do looks stupid and impractical in touraments is because all of the pressure points and bone breaks are not allowed. In the "real world", if someone in tae kwon do was attacked, they could simply break their bones and knock them out. I'm in tae kwon do, and I'm not sure if you are. But if you aren't, please don't judge something based on some video you seen on youtube.

  • I agree that it looks impractical because of all the rules etc. I'm not in TKD martial arts but i am surprised that they teach "bone breaks" which they don't teach in my particular martial art style. I based my assumption on watching TKD tournaments. I dont think turning your back to an opponent during RH kicks is smart thats all. You saw the first and second RH kicks right. 1st failed miserably left the guy on the ground open to a finishing move and second left him open to close range attack.

  • yeah I see your point in that regard but that has a lot to do with the rules of this competition. The guy doing the roundhouse kick isn't worried about getting hit on the ground or from behind because of mutual respect and the rules of the fight. roundhouse kicks are really counter attacks when your opponent turns sideways while throwing a punch and when landed you won't be turning a 360.

  • But all that IS allowed in mixed-martial-arts, kickboxing, etc.

  • ROFL @ drevandamva i read ur "PRIDE really is the shit" then saw the first seen omfg thats funny

  • wtf they keep hugging... why

  • i dont know wat the fuck kinda fighting this is but its very much just an excuse for two men to hug and grope each other.

  • I can tell you don't know shit about fighting

  • holy crap..

that guy took it like maaad.

    kudos to the crippler move

  • Weak offence, sloppy defence, off-target and all round amature.

  • Then you go in the ring and try it. Are you a ring fighter? Do you have any martial arts experience?

  • hmm.. thats sudo genki, one of the top lightweight fighters in the world. Shouldnt comment on something you know nothing about. In other words, shut your ass dumb shit.

  • They are shit. end of discusion.

  • Genki Sudo, top fighter, this is a stand up match but he's an even better wrestler

  • tell about genki fighting this taekwondo tournament fighter is a joke I do taekwondo and I know genki sudo is the equavlent of a grand master in his sport,

  • ur a chicken mcfly

  • mmmmmmm chicken

  • hahaha is that a kfc bucket on his head at the start hahahaha

  • PRIDE really is the shit.

  • right you cant even go into mma without knowing the basic jujitsu positions like mount ,sidemount ,gaurd and ect

  • Ah, the infamous spinning back fist, i've seen it cripple so many fighters.

  • that was lame, eh? HAHA. even I can do that! and I dont even know MMA.

  • Spinning backfist double great KO!

  • They keep hugging each other! lol

  • Muay Thai guys who go into MMA without first training MMA tend to get destroyed.

Y'know, like Ramon Dekkers, as anon69 pointed out.

Bas Rutten does amazing because he has amazing ground skills as well as amazing standup.

  • he is a real martial artist first he got a black belt in karate and then in judo. unlike all these new mma guys who try to dabble in a little bit of every thing at once. ever heard the saying jack of all trades master of none.

  • Yeah, these new MMA guys who destroy the one-dimensional old guys. Like Genki Sudo vs. Ramon Dekkers. Genki Sudo isn't even a top fighter, he hasn't ever really been a top fighter. Top performer, yes, but not really top fighter, no.

  • well i believe a fighter should be well rounded like mma but i believe they will never reach their true potential as a martial artist having never really trained in any martial arts to inherit the mental and spiritual aspect of the art. They are just mimicing techniques from that style having no real passion for the art, just the mma sport.

  • its call martial athlete

  • lol BH.

  • Cool!

  • >> muay thai would rape them

This is funny, do you even know about Ramon Dekkers, one of the most respected Muay Thai fighters? Dekkers got submitted by Genki Sudo -- that would be the flame-throwing-KFC guy in this video -- in 3 minutes in MMA rules. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-QYl02-eBQ

And don't say that Dekkers would've won given Muay Thai RULES, because he agreed and wanted to fight in MMA as a personal challenge.

  • Well,even if is fake,I prefer to watch WWE,(it has more action,some hot babes,and a lame drama),over this.Hey! BIETCH!,bring me a beer!

  • I agree neh. Jumping kick seem vulnerable..... neh!

  • muay thai would rape them

  • KFC KFC KFC KFC - Colonel buckethead is king!

  • this is japanese, which noob said is korean?

  • SHDJEN is funny. Obviously you know very little about MMA. Genki is one of the best. His only recent lost was to Kid Y. But Kid is amazing. Educate yourself a bit Check out his record: http://www.sherdog.net/forums/showthread.php?s=dc17bea98f77507f1cd1f417e6401a52&t=407010

Martial arts is just that an ART form. Its very pretty but MMA is the practical use of all of them.

  • i like kfc...=D

  • KFC is a new fighting league.

  • The korean guy is Kim Jingwu (an olyimpic Taekwon gold medalist) and the other guy is Genki Sudo (well versed in Ju-jutsu and possesses some Karate and Kickboxing skills)

  • lol thats not really what i exspected cuz it said martial arts like i was exspecting more then kick boxing (4*)

  • atleast the korean beat him down with the first kick.

    props to that.

thats the tae kwon do olympics.

  • the korean was not doing so well with the hitting. by the way.

where the hell are the old masters?

they would probably beat the shit out of people.

wonder if bruce lee would send these guys flying.

  • Guy in the shorts got two lucky punches in and that's supposed to be hot shit?! Dude wouldn't survive two minutes sparring with me.

  • He'd take you to the ground and sub you in a minute. He's one of the best MMA fighters.

  • He's the Best?! Then MMA is garbage. He gets lucky hits by accident. No discipline. Against a smart fighter, he's dead.

  • What Dan or Belt are you? and what Art?

  • 1st Dan Taekwondo.

  • KFC and martial arts have a strong lineage that apparently goes back for generations....

  • Wtf is with the white faced dude with the KFC bucket on his head

  • I practice Taekwondo...

  • I thought the guy with the pants had pretty kicks, but he was constantly falling...

  • i thought the same way...by the way...i am a shihan in bushido and kendo and iaido and Kboxing. you do anything?

  • this fight sucked

  • I love Sudo, but honestly he isn't too great of a stand up fighter

But even he just rocked this tae kwon do (tkd) dude

Back fist.. back fist man... GOd damn.. Direct hit

    "WE ARE ALL ONE" <3

  • Damn, though it wa really Buckethead (saddness)

    not the same person

  • dat dude wit the tatts sux, if i wer the guy in the pants i would hav just ran in a gave him a few good hits in the face, dat would hav slowed him down.

  • This is a good vid but I think the second dude was acting like a retard; using retarded moves and opening himself up for a punch to the face

  • in taekwondo , very important rule is not to use high kicks when u're running out ur energy. Coz it's not gonna be powerful enough & fast enough and the weak point will show up.

he's good fighter , but the mistake he did couldn't make the fight longer

  • genki sudo my favorite entertainer fighter

  • am i the only one who saw that the guy at the start of the vid has a kfc buket on his head???

  • Whoa, that looks like fun.

  • That dude got Zangeifed like street fighter! LOL

  • Those guys need to put there guards up or else its a punch to the face and KO

  • Is that why Genki Sudo has such a crappy fight record? (That was a joke, by the way- he's freakin' awesome)

  • wtf was up with that intro? He really does joke around... as for the other one, he was trying to use too much of his tkd training in this fight and used moves that were extremely wasteful and showy. Too many spinning back kicks, none landing a good clean hit. It'd do him good to learn from Benny Urquidez's career.

and seriously... kickboxing not martial arts? wtf?

  • Not bad.

  • Creo que no esto no son arte marcial, pero reconozco que el último golpe es muy bueno.

I have seen a non martial art, but last hit is great.

  • the koreon fighter was using taekwondo which is a martial art(not that kickboxing isnt) to that idiot who said this fight wasnt martial arts

  • That is Genki Sudo (a MMA fighter, mainly a freestyle jujutsu fighter who crosstrain in kyokushin karate) vs tkd fighter Kim Jingwu. It was a superfight at a k-1 max event 2002.

Genki Sudo is well known for clowning around when fighting. Occationaly it gets him into trouble, but this time he won without trouble.

  • How do you know thiss stuff

  • How I know? Interest and research from being a fight-fan with a special interest in anything even vaugely kyokushin karate related.

  • Great Fighting! It's like sparring but in a kickboxing set up, ususally kickboxing looks like crap with crappy fighters, but that was way good.

  • i love these kinda vids, what is this thin called ?

  • this is kick boxing not martial arts

  • what the hell kick boxing is a form of competitive martial arts.

  • That was Genki Sudo

  • That was a finish

  • That was a finishing combo
