i love my 800x2. I beat the crap out of it and it holds up quite nicely! the only problems that I have had is the cracked footwells, but that is from bottoming out while going over big logs. My exhaust rattled, but I just tightened up the bolt. I shredded one belt, but that was from a bad motor mount. (my fault for doing wheelies) my only gripe is the weight of the machine in the mudhole, but it also gives it a cadillac style ride... love it!!! do some routine maintenance smart guy!!!
My 07 800 has been in the shop three times,it only has 1100 miles on it.My problem is over heating EVERYTIME!!!! Each time I take it in Im told there is no problem with it!!It is garage kept, never ever been in water over 10 inches deep, never been in mud that needed AWD.It is now in the shop agin in Crystal River FL,and soon they will call me and tell me "we can't find a problem with it".ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?
i have a 09 800 sp and is a piece of junk. it has been in the shop countless times and keeps shutting off and leaving me stranded polaris has a great concept for there machines but if they dont hold up there not worth a hill of beans. i have even been able to get mine dirty yet it has been in the shop over and over for warranty work
i think you're not telling the whole story you have had to had done something wrong and done No maintence!!! I have one and so do 8 of my friends and we have not problems But of course we don't brake stuff and try to blame other people
ho can you brake the box its inposibol have you most have flipt over and it have crack ? is realy hard to crack i have dosent se this at eny polaris 800 x2 so you ar not a go driver or so have you jump or hove tel me that so thats it....
did you turn the free wheel switch for the winch its located on the right of the winch and its gray on mine. is your winch a warn? also with the hand warmers first off i didn't know you could get them from the factory and they do get warn out fast so that why they don't work
i love polaris but its true they are high mantainence. i have never had probelems with plastics, but i have had 2 sportsmans a 400 and an 800. on the 400 i had clutch problems, mostly my fault for pulling about 1500 pounds and sometimes up to 2000. My 800 i had cooling problems but it turnes out i was low on oil and had a bubble on the cooling system so its not big stuff but i had alot of problems, though they were all my fault
As for the belts You should know better than to plow in high range or try to rock craw !! I have a 2005 that I plow snow with , rock craw and hill climb with it and the belt has over 3500 miles on it !!! No belt problem here It doesnt even slip when I swamp it in water !!
So this just happened while you were plowing snow ?!? Right !!!! How many times did you roll this thing over ?!!Plastic does not just break It needs twisted or ran into when it is real cold !! As for the winch try flipping the switch on it to take it out of free spool !!!
Ohh god my buddy had 3 footwells warrantied he lives in montana cold down there and they just crack. Well back to work..I have a list of owners with box issues give me your email address ..PM ME. Good luck with the new dealership/
I have had major belt issues also..Polaris has warrentied all of them. My dealer is checking on that today and all the other stuff..Has anyone on here had problems with the footwells cracking in winter time?????
I have this page linked on my phone because i really want to know what happens. Your problems with the seat, heat issues, box everything i have the same issues..I also go through belts like no tommarow..Get your dealer to check it out!! I have had every belt warrantied !!! My dealer just fixed my box for the 2nd time!!!! I just got it back on friday
I have found a good dealership trying to get everything under warranty. They are trying to get everything covered which shouldn't be hard i mean shit my quad is used for plowing snow..It sits in a nice warm garage washed every use and yet my yamaha runs 20x better. I have only had a burnout light on my yamaha and thats it..the yamaha ive had from new
Hello, My name is sheryl and my husband and i have the same quad and the box released last week on a quadding trip..The box released on us going up hill and flipped the quad completly upside down wrecking the quad and breaking my wrist. The quad is now sitting at my local dealership as a saftey claim and here its mid 20s and could be enjoying the weather but polaris wants to take weeks to fix which is total bullshit. We might take them to court if our quad is denied ..
Also when they first denied me I went on afew polaris forums and there's 100's of box failures..If you need a list of owners i have one already made up!!!
I have this same atv and my box released the same almost dumping my rider off the back. It took weeks before polaris covered it! After my lease is up i will never buy a polaris again! Hope all goes well with polaris..Just stay on them they will cover it!

The best thing for you to do is sell it for parts and get a Can Am.

They want 4-5 weeks to investigate. Polaris warranty takes forever. My yamaha warranty is way easier.
