  • gillateen101 I never said all, i just said steelhead in general.

  • that guy has spawning scars on his nose from last year... what are typical baits for ice fishing steelies.. egg bags jigs minnows prolly.. pink colrs like the creeks

  • At first I was like, where the heck is the hole?! And how on earth can you fish with bare hands? I'd be freezing!

Oh yeah, congrats on the catch...

  • Nice catch

  • Only difference between Rainbow and Steelhead is one goes out to see and comes back to spawn and one stays in freshwater. They are the same exact fish.

  • @MrGodismysavior steelhead are bigger. I think there is a difference. and when you hook a steelhead they fight harder.

  • @anosn122 not in the ice and not all steelhead are bigger.. and this rainbow steelhead ebate is down right stupid.. the only thing i will say is some steelies do have a distict look chromeeeeee ..some fresh bows are chrome also tho

  • Totally a planted fish

  • @MrGodismysavior no u sound dumb

  • and by the way all salmonid males get a hooked jaw

  • well i think his argument is that that fish never left freshwater, so although it may have steelhead genes it behaves like a rainbow. since they are both the same genus and species i would also call this a rainbow

  • look at the hooked lower jaw. it's a S-T-E-E-L-H-E-A-D

  • thats a steelhead.. its got a long snout and dark color..its a prespawn buck so do research next time before you prove someone wrong dumbass

  • idc what it is thats a nice fish

  • nice rainbow trout, not a steelhead, sorry.

  • what good were you guys using in this video or for icefidhing on trout and salmon in general?

  • what bait are you guys using for salmon in general salmon egg sack?

  • Nice fish! I fish McKinley marina alot it can be very productive somtimes and not productive at all other times ive found the best time of year to get them is in late winter when they are running. For me the best bait is a spawn sac fished 6-10" above the bottom depending on the clarity and location of the fish.

  • Dam!

  • what type of bait and how far off the bottom are you leaving those autofisherman/tipups set up?

  • Nice vid! Whats the point of the bobber in between the first and second eye lid?

  • They are using automatic fisherman, its a device that holds an ice fishing rod, and sets the hook when a fish grabs it.

  • Nice catch! Great vid. Thanks

  • gettin' the good ones!!! sweet!
