6th gen is one of the gens I like a lot less (because Reina is deteriorating and Sayu can't sing)... My ranking of the 6th gen (not including Miki, obviously) is, in order from best to worst, Eri, Reina, Sayumi. However, Miki beats all of them, and ALL the 5th gen members beat ALL the 6th gen members, IMO.

One thing I'll say is that Reina used to sing very well. Now her voice is a bit irksome to listen to (in a similar way to Sayumi) because of the whiny tone they both use. I miss Eri though...

In a weird way, i think Sayumi sings better here than she does now as an adult. She sounds so at ease singing this song and not self-conscious about her voice, so it sounds more natural and flows better.

I don't understand why Tsunku didn't give Eri as much lines as Reina as well. If he gave Eri lines as much as Reina's, and trained her to be a vocalist as well, she would do alot better in leading the songs with Ai instead of Reina. Reina's voice is very.. annoying and pitchy right now. :/ Eri's voice is the only one out of the 3 of them to improve and sound really good. It's too bad she graduated before Tsunku finally made her a main vocalist. >:

@DarlingAshes I'm disappointed too, but it's her decision. I just hope she'll get healed soon and come back to Morning Musume, or at least be a soloist. She has a great voice, a good personality, I don't want her to just disappear from the showbiz. And yeah, Eri's voice, although greatly different from Risa's, their voices blend well together. But I don't think Tsunku will let Ai graduate any time. MoMusu will not survive without Ai. :/

@DarlingAshes Yeah, I'm glad she made the decision that health should always come first. Let's just hope that she'll come back quickly, healthy, and be in a subgroup. I wish she can join back MoMusu again though I don't think they'll make it an exception. :/ And yeah, they'll never let Ai graduate. And besides, if she graduate, to be honest, MoMusu won't survive not only in terms of popularity. In terms of vocal as well. Ai's voice really supports the whole group.

Takahashi and Reina are really the most popular members of Momusu and with Ai gone (given the fact that she's been a lead in all teh songs since her debut) Momusu will suffer. Hopefully, the new members will help. It seems that Riho is already gathering a following (she's an awesome dancer and singer).

And yeah, it's no longer popular, since Ai with a huge fanbase is now going to graduate, and Eri, who's lovable with a strong fanbase as well, is already gone. Now, let's just hope that the new Momusu members can somehow make Momusu survive. I think Riho is doing pretty well for now.

I disagree, I think with Takahashi out of the picture more of the other girls are going to have a chance, and it might be more popular than it is now. It wouldve been preferable if Takahashi graduated before Kamei, but it didn't happen. I think the rokkies will lead MM back to popularity.

@DarlingAshes eczema is not something you can cure at this point in medical technology if I'm not mistaken. But I guess it was bothering her to a degree that prevented her from working. I can't imagine the level of stress she had from the skin condition in addition to the hard life of an idol. I have a friend with eczema and although we don't notice, its an emotional battle for the person who has it.

sayumi's voice got higher as she got older. reina's voice got worst as she got older, i love her voice when she was younger compared to now. kamei is the only one who really really improved out of the three of them.

I went to a enligh morning musume fansite (I don't know much about Morning Musume before the debut of the 6th generation) and they said she wasa solo singer in 2002 before being added to Momusu in 2003. She was added to the 6th generation last but they all debuted with Shabondama.

After rewatching it, you're right. It does look like her eyes are grey. You could be right about the lighting, I know they sometimes do interesting things with lighting to make effects with their eyes (in Mikan, the lighting makes them have a white square in their eyes) so perhaps it was something like that.
