Huskers probably are one of the best Rushing defenses in the country and have a preety good passing defense, Bo Polini has done a job with the offense, they need to work on penalties though.
And let us not forget the beautifully designed running plays just for Frazier. Remember the QB trap play in Fiesta Bowl that went for a long TD in 3rd qt?. Tell you what, it is hard enough to tackle guys like Frazier, Phillips, Green and Co when standing on your feet, let alone after being knocked backward and on your backside. That 95 O line with a Mackovicka following them providing lead blocking would just truck and dismantle teams, even today.
wait, wait, wait, theres no way you're a Miami fan. It was the 2001 Hurricanes that were amazing, not the 1991 team. But I agree the 95 Huskers destroyed everyone.
95 Skers just way to physical. Wear teams out with that offensive line with supremely talented guys like frazier, Phillips, Green carrying the pigskin running power football, i.e traps, power sweeps, iso's, straight pitches to RB, stretch plays to RB, counter traps, dives, draws, fb traps, THEN they hit ya' with the option to make ya' defend entire field. How do you want your medicine on the option Frazier or Phillips? Deadly. And Tommie could throw. Then it's the Blackshirts turn! DOMINANCE
I don't care how bad the Huskers are doing. If you're ever at Memorial Stadium and you don't get goosebumps when Sirius starts blasting over the speakers, you need to be checked for a pulse.
I am very happy Osbourne is back. He is one of the greatest coaches ever!! I also really like this tunnel walk. Thanks to Callahan and Pedersen, they have destroyed Nebraska tradition.
@joshcane You're only great when you beat the best teams like the Florida and Texas teams - and we did. We love our rivals and have deep respect for them. Without you, there is no game.
with this you just cant feel the power of the tunnel walk
only a husker fan can tell you of this man its amazing shit i dont even like the game i go there JUST TO SEE THE TUNNEL WALK (sense everyone cant play now ne way)
Like I've always said. The difference between this Tunnel Walk and others is they're clocking in for work. They know they're going to win, it's just another day at the office.
They weren't assembled, they were descended from the football gods born in the golden corn fields of Nebraska sent to bring glory for TO and the entire HUSKER NATION!
I just got home from the game, CU fans kept telling us to keep Callahan. We told them they get to keep him, the Huskers are letting him or Coz on the bus home.
I somewhat I agree... In the a.m. Callahan needs to apoligize for attempting to run over T.O. and then see....but LSU lost and the Michigan scenario is.....interesting. You think LSU is willing to hire a defensive coach? I think Nebraska is
Today the players look like they are hopped up on sugar, jumping around like idiots trying to pump themselves up. These players know they can win, and they show their emotion on the field, not in the tunnel. These guys had class, because their coach had class and taught them well. With callahan you got a guy who made throat slashes at people, what did you expect?
I said it before and I'll say it again, this video shows the beginning of the greatest season in college football history. Hands down, no arguement- the best team ever. The players attitudes created that. They expected to win, they did win, and they won BIG.
Tom Osborne was the fuckin shit! kids wanted to go to nebraska just b/c of him. and then he retires and no one wants to be with us. thats why we suck now.
dude u have a problem if u think of t.o. like that. pelini is gonna rock the college football world. watch the 2010 Huskers make it to a BCS bowl game.
Let me guess, you just started actually following the Tigers last season? Give us a break dude. Prior to last season, you lot were happy to even get any bowl game, let alone a chance to blow your chance at a National Championship bowl game. You were one of a few Big 12 Cinderella stories and will be greatly humbled next season and from then on. Cheers.
I went to the games, and in a few of them they were letting anyone in the stands run behind the pipe line. I went 50 yards for a TD and stopped for lunch on the way.
to coastie1991, I'd just like to say that this is our 1995 team, and as I've said before, its fact that this is the best team of all time. Maybe the '72 team was better, but still, Nebraska has the top two teams of all time. Oh. and going back to the 1800s, we have 11 national championships. But yea. Have fun w/ ur 1991 team.
"pwned" I'm not sure what that means. If you're talking about the fact that they were jobbed by the refs in 1993, and actually one 3 in a row, I agree.
I got to see a few games in 95 at Memorial Staduim. Washington State and Iowa State. The swaggar of the '95 team, they knew they were the best in the country.
I agree. These guys are all about taking care of business. If you watch the players walk out today, they look like mentally handicapped children wildly flailing their limbs. These guys just had a confident swagger that intimidated opponents.
