I can't blame him, she's kind of pitchy and kids have way more sensitive hearing than adults. Without getting too technical it's an issue of having pleasing mathematically simple melodies, and without even learning music because it's based on simple math our brains are already tuned in to like things that are "in key" ie. the math resolves easily.
