They should give you the tools to make direct recording. The difference is too big. Anyway, Ill try to watch your reviews on mi iMac on 720p to get the best quality possible. As the youtube app on my iPhone loads to slowly. I didnt mean to be rude with my comments, it was just an important suggestion that I dont see on appvee nor tapcritic, and there should be. Graphics are very important :D
@calotono Don't worry, I'll be keeping on top of direct recording methods :) It's something I've had slated as a major improvement since I started working for the company and as soon as we can make it work it'll be a boon for everyone ;)
You record using a camera. And your camera is not perfect. Video quality IS lost. If you did not use a camera, and record directly, I wouldnt make that suggestion, since that way, video quality is not lost.
Try watching one of those gameloft trailers for Modern Combat 2 on the Youtube app on the iPhone 4, it looks as if you were playing the game! Amazing quality.

@5637718 I wouldn't say I never recommend anything, I just don't jump up and down over everything I play 'cause this is meant to be a review site, not just some kid with a camcorder and spare time ;) Go back and play Zombieville USA, OMG Pirates! and Inkvaders if you like this style of gameplay :)
Dude, why wont you specify if its retina display or not? It takes 3 seconds to say something about retina or not. There are thousands more iphone 4s in the streets every day. Get one and get with the program.
@calotono We've had one since they were released and we always record with a Retina display. So if you don't like the way the game looks then it can only look worse on anything lower than an iPhone/iPod 4.
