@rubaqewar Well God says in the Quran that there will be people who believe, unbelieve then believe again. There is no compulsion in religion. I think the imam was from a Wahabi school of thought. He has to be very sure that she enters Islam on her own free will and not forced by anyone and it is only cos of her sincerity towards finding the true path. there are cases of those who left Islam cos they were not treated well by fellow Muslims and this shouldn't be the case cos the reason should be only for the sake of Allah alone.
