تعليقات غريبه! أنا من جامعة عين شمس وشايف إن مظاهرات الجامعه الأمريكيه مش أقل أهميه من مظاهراتنا، المطالبه بحقك ملهاش دعوه بتدفع مصاريف 219 جنيه فالسنه ولا فوق ال100,000 .

الجامعه الأمريكيه بتستضيف فعاليات الجامعات الحكوميه وعمرنا ما شوفنا من أغلبهم معامله سيئه. الجامعات كلها إيد واحده من أجل تعليم أفضل لكل المصريين

In the "AUCian" more commonly used language: I couldn't give a shit if these pampered babies pay too much tuition if one of them paid me to. I'm twenty one years old, I don't own a car, and I pay less than a quarter of what they pay for the same education but not the same "prestige" or "status" whatever you babies call it.

The shame is that these people in their own bubble of Mercedes Benz and Prada will lead the country later.

@Tw1ztedd ايه الحقد ده ؟؟ هو عشان ربنا كرمنا و عندنا فرصة تعليم كويسة . و بعدين مين اللي عايشين في عالم غير العالم دول؟ انا عايز اقولك انت لو كنت نزلت التحرير من اوا 25 لحد 11 فبراير الميدان كان في طلبة من الجامعة الامريكية كتير . طلبة الجامعة الامريكية مش جداد علي المظاهرات لما كنا ف التحرير سنة 2003 طلعنا الميدان لوحدنا و وقفنا عشان اللي كانت امريكا بتعمله ف العراق. سنه 2008 و2009 في التجمع الخامس عملنا مظاهرا ت عشان فلسطين و هدم الاقصي سنه 2010 عملنا مظاهرة عشان حقوق العمال المهدرة.

@Tw1ztedd فين بقي العالم الخاص بتاعنا اللي عايشين فيه و مش حاسين بحاجة؟ طلبة الجامعة بتوع مامي و بابي اللي حضرتك بتتريق عليهم عملين اندية خدمة اجتماعية من 15 سنة بننزل المناطق العشوائية بنعلم الناس و نساعدهم يحصلوا علي وظايف. الاندية دي عددها اكتر من 10 يعني بنشتغل ف اكتر من 10 مناطق.

I am a US citizen and Egyptian citizen. i went to high school in USA, but when I came to transfer the only school that would accept me was AUC, not cuz of the grades because the sequence I took my classes and apparently they wanted most of my courses to be token the 12th yr of schooling, even though I finished all the courses with good standards.

@Tw1ztedd Also, However only AUC accepted me. My whole family is in Egypt so this is where I want to be and unfortunately I have to pay my ass off here. So, before you start commenting your ignorance on here you should understand peoples circumstances. People would be lucky to be in ur shoes and no I'm not elfin rich and I do not have a car, I commute and I work. So thank you very much for your input but stop posting your ignorance. Do you know how much money is a hundred thousand Egyptian pounds?

In short, if you can afford to pay that kind of money annually, you are rich.

And if your job makes that much you should consider not getting an education.

We all pay our asses off, it's just a question of how much.

And! an exception of a rule doesn't disproof a rule.

Also don't talk to me about lucky...and your words and the way you write in general reak of spoiled rich girl.

@Tw1ztedd Only my dad works and apparently I just found out that we barely hit middle class, not even. You do not know my financial standing at all. I actually work myself and go to school. So, its really hard. You obviously do not understand my situation. You're too ignorant obviously. I would love to go to Ain Shams or Cairo University. Personally even if I had the money and I had a choice bw AUC and Ain Shams, Ain Shams of course. You/re probably richer than me. Its also called Financial Aid.

I donot see fighting either?! These workers have rights, and they re trying their best to give those workers what they really deserve..

you are disrespecting the holding of classes. you should be ashamed. and it doesn't matter WHAT they charge- they are a private university! if you can't afford it go SOMEWHERE ELSE. you have no RIGHT to an AUC education. @rmarsh9062 FYI all of the students who were in the strike are completely capable of paying the entire tuition fees. Those students are more concerned about where the money goes and at the same time the security personnels and DDC workers are underpaid. If you are a real AUC-ian; you should think about you can help your community and improve it, not to become an "AUC -sees" thinking only about how exclusive is your education and ignoring others who working hard to keep our campus safe and clean.

@sparklepoetxx FYI - there is NOTHING positive about this strike! they are vandalizing, fighting, destroying property, interrupting classes and the operation of the University. The students have turned the campus into a CIRCUS. If there is any word in the English language that I would NEVER EVER use to describe these protests and this strike it would be the word "positive".

Strike is for 10% increase in the fees, student not pay 70k EGP for same quality that I use to get for 40k 3 yrs ago!

Well if you have the money BITCH we dont have and even if we do, we will not give it away!
