For me, it is a love-hate-love relationship with my trips into the remote wilds. Your movie brought back a lot of memories of my own trips. After watching your video, I have decided that I am going to do a 20 day hike in the North Cascades this summer.
That's awesome you are going to embark on a journey through the North Cascades. You going solo? I want to hear about it's over, good or bad, worked or didn't. None of that matters. It's the journey that counts! Like you described them to be, when on my hike, it didn't seem enjoyable, but after it was all over, all I wanted to do was go back!. HA! Yes, I will be going solo again. When I plan a hike, I no longer care about reaching a summit, or a specific destination in a certain time. That way, when I am tired, I can stop without any guilt, when I see a beautiful landscape, I can stay for an hour... even a day. I have found that having no plans, is the best plan for getting the most out of a remote trip. When I got back from Alaska, I was so happy to be home. Now, all I want to do is go back:)
