THis is a lesson of ...a tragic feeling.

so she plots with her brother orestes in order to kill her mother's lover aegisthus and her mother clytemnestra who killed her husband (and electra's father)agamemnon for killing her sister iphigenia.

this is greek tragedy.

this play is about the pivotal point in history where the gods weighed in on the side of patriarchy - to absolve orestes of his sin of matricide.athena made the decisive vote. for the gods its all just a game and we humans their toys. euripides made it an immortal play.
