I just made me some buss up shut with curry chicken and channa with a few hot peppers and gravy and it came out perfect. Thanks for sharing the instructions.
Hi, i had try this yesterday. It was great. But I tried today in the microwave to warm it up, but there was not so soft anymore. what can I do if I do the next day is as soft as to create?
@7moenie Next time, wrap in greaseproof paper, then in foil & put in the oven to warm though, I normally put a few drops of water on the roti to create a little steam in the greaseproof paper.
@7moenie Rule #1, never put any kind of roti in the microwave. You have to use an oven in order to keep that soft taste. My Mom recommends that you sprinkle the roti with a bit of water to give it some moist (especially if it's dry the next day). Hope that helps :D
can you show how to make dahl puri - that is the best indian bread and great with duck or goat curry. btw: buss up shut is slang for busted up shirt which is what the creoles think it looks like - indans call it parata
I like the idea of sealing the dough into a log. That I can use. But that Roti needs to be 'buss-up' more than that to reveal the layers. Two turning stick would be more useful than the two wooden spatulas.
it's easy, the gov. dont ask to much, just bring monay to the ""invertion"
como to venezuela, sale indian food, clothes, articules, teach english, hindi, boollywood movies with english or spanish subtitlles ( that would be a very, very ambisous and good estrategy, to make a lot of money, to open the markeet betwen spanish and coolies with the spanish community, as never ever) indian clothes, spices, surriies, massalas, music, .
Great video, thanks so much! I saw this done by my aunty before and when I went to try it on my own, I didn't quite get. Watching your video refreshed my memory. The only trick to learn now is getting the hang of the rolling pin! :)
Thanks TDGS! I tried it with a griddle. The result was good but I miss using a tawa. Maybe I can be a tawa distributor for folks like us in the US :-)
Thanx so much for this vid! I needed to kno how to make this for a presentation for class! BTW: My mother had a Trini friend who I believe was Hindu that made a filling for this that was made with green mango and I think chicken. Can you tell me the name of it?
cool :D i make indian roti, and now i'm going to try this :) Thanks for the vid.

My dough turned out hard. How do you get that pliable( soft) dough?

Thank you for an excellent Video on how to make Buss up Shot.
I have tried many years to make these, but they never came out right.
Your vid has now taught me to make authentic roti. So yesterday I could have buss up with curried chicken rice and peas. Thanks again Caribbean Pot.
