I understand playing bass fast and shit, and i understand shredding and shit. But Piccolo strings on a bass and randomly playing intervals, uncleanly, with distortion to the max, no audible notes, no melody, and no sense of what hes playing is just atrocious. The only thing he has going is his picking chops.

Wow! That's the best lead guitar I've ever heard on a bass solo. I fail to see all the "haters" & Manowar fanatics points in such a heated argument. Joey is blatantly a bad ass guitarist on bass. So he's displaying that in this solo. But he knows the basses place to support the structure of their songs. I'd much rather see this for a solo than Gene Simmons hitting bass strings with full tilt effects on & spewing blood for the 3,457,193rd no 4th time. Yea, I'm also another bass player. So what.

If that wasn't offensive enough, he's playing with a pick using alternate picking, if that still wasn't offensive enough, he doesn't play any basslines but instead cranks up the distortion and plays 300mph guitar solos. He's no bassist, myself and any other bassist would tell you that he is NOT one of us.
