I find that not many people know who the the the actual four horsemen are. War and Death are the most well known but few people know who the other two are. There's Pestilence, he rides the white horse, he's the spreader of disease and infection and has a bow and arrow as a weapon. Then there's Famine who rides the black horse, he has a set of scales and is the bringer of starvation as well as the toll taker.

@TheHarlemGhost2 I don't think there is a concrete 4, the only 2 everybody is certain on is War and Death. The other 2 slots are debatable for Famine, Pestilence and Conquest.

Too many things are changing the Horseman so frequently, it's too fast to follow. Not even the religious books seem able to make up their mind.

@IBrowneeI REV. made it pretty clear that one of them is associated with the rising price of food, most ppl refer to that one as famine.

there never was anything about pestilence in it, it came about mainly due to the black plague.

I'm curious though, what proof do you have on "the horsemans changes a lot", it came across as some bullshit uttered only to make one sound smart. you can always edit the wiki and cite your source if you want. but right now it has nothing of the like on it.

I mean I don't actually believe in it so maybe I just haven't been looking in all the right places, but in all stories or shows or whatever, Death and War are the only two that are in everything, the other two keep changing from Famine, Conquest, Fury, Strife, Pestilence, Plague...

Honestly, they may as well make it the 8 Horseman if they can't decide.

@ericon52168 Are you speaking of it as a completely serious topic? Cause I consider it all fiction, so my sources are all over the place. Rev included. Elsewhere are books in relation to the apocalypse (my sister is a religious sort with those kinds of books) and TV shows like Supernatural and stuff. What im getting at is all specific versions of the 4 Horseman, or certain things named after them, only Death and War are the 2 consistent ones. The other 2 keep changing.

Only a minor mention, im pretty sure whatever it was had nothing to do with the apocalypse really. Hell, there's even a game on Playstation called Apocalypse (with Bruce Willis in it (lol)) where the 4 are Death, Plague, War and Beast... Heh, only thing I know of to use Beast XD

@ericon52168 Oh god, I noticed that and was just amazed how much sense it made. The 4 Horseman (regardless of who they are) seem more like Aspects of... well who they are. Kind of like Peacekeepers. It just doesn't make sense that dudes like War and Death are members of the hell army, if that is what christians believe anyway. Certainly made Darksiders 1 a hell of a lot more engaging to play, and seeing the story so far for Darksiders 2, it's sure as hell not disappointing me.

The crown on Conquest's head simply represents his human counterparts of kings and emperors going out to conquer. In Darksiders universe, the four horsemen are instead named Fury, Strife, War and Death, if you read the comic. And since it would seem so cool to have a walking epitome of Death be the leader of the horsemen, the producers of the game decided to have just that.

If you read the comic that came with the special edition of the first game, Death is actually the one that ripped War's arm off, which is why he has the giant gauntlet. Pretty sure it even says he's the most powerful of the 4, and nearly invulnerable, or something along those lines.

Darksiders 2 takes place while War is on Earth. The council tells, the other three horsemen about War and how he messed up and stuff. Death knows that War is the most honorable out of all of them and he senses something isn't right. So he disobeys the councils orders and journeys to help clear his brothers name.
