  • I remember this Vulcan coming into Wellesbourne for the first time in 1984, when I was a lad, living in nearby Hampton Lucy. It is the loudest aircraft I have ever heard. I'm glad so see it's moving even if it's not flying.

  • lol i went to wllesbourne market and saw this at the end of the runway wasn`t moving i thought it was fake and just for show.lol

  • i don't think they fly these anymore because it was too expensive or something i remember em from when i was little they were fuckin LOUD

  • THanks for your responces, the aircraft is superb!

  • i used to stand at the end of the runway at RAF FINNINGLY and watch them go up up god what a sight

  • Brilliant. She looks good since the repaint eh? Wonder why they were taxiing with the crew hatch open?

  • If you would like to see an excellent video of it actually doing its high speed run the following day type "XM655" into the search without the inverted commas

  • Saw your vid, very good. Was there that day as well.

  • I shot this in August 2006 I think, it was being tested for the annual high speed taxi up & down the runway.

  • Hi,

    When was this video shot?

I know it's doing crew training for the crews of XH558 which will hopefully fly next year.
