I like the exercise for all video's... please use a tripod coz watching the wobbly video makes my eyes hurt...

I always hear never put the knee past the toes. Why is that?

@Nionicle When you're in a lunge you shouldn't put the knee over the toe because it puts a lot of forward/shear pressure on your knee joint. you also aren't able to fully use your quads and glutes because your body is positioned correctly.
