Im actually recording into an old Roland VS840 hard disk recorder, I record the guitars and the album track onto seperate tracks, import the files onto my computer, convert them to wavs and mix them (panning and volumes) in a program called Reaper. Im wearing headphones to monitor everything while i record/play. An amp adds better tone to me, but late at night sometimes its just better to line in record everything!
