anything For MAC guys?? i checked out the companies wesbite they have no plans for mac does anyone knows of a similar program i think i really like this program
@iWinterHD Yes a flashing LED could be used however with the use of a 555 timer you may adjust the mark space ratio and frequency at which the LED flashes. The purpose of these tutorials is to show how to design, develop and manufacture a PCB. I chose the 555 timer astable circuit because it was a fairly simple design.
@plazmafeld To do this you would need some sort of sound to light unit. This could be made using a few op-amps. You would need to split the different frequencies up and then compare them with a preset level. Have a look at this circuit if you are interested: bitdotlyforwardslashmxxu6U
@100roberthenry Yes, brilliant program... unfortunately at University they use more sophisticated software like Microsim I think its called. Still a great program and I find the schematics you can produce really nice.
@ARealMouthful111 Circuit Wizard is like Livewire and PCB Wizard in one. It also includes other great features such as the ability to test the PCB layout virtually too and also allows you to run a report to find any differences in the PCB layout and the Circuit Diagram. Compatibility wise you can open Livewire and PCB Wizard files however you cant save them again back as Livewire or PCB Wizard unfortunately. If you have no intention of using Livewire etc. then Circuit Wizard is absolutely great!
How do draw on the red circles (top right @ 1:24) to highlight something?, is that part of the Camtasia capture software, or did you add it afterwards with the video edit software?
Btw folks have a look at EagleCad, its less user- friendly than this this software, but is free for making smaller boards like this.
@Lakes57 Camtasia will capture and edit. All screen cast for this series were captured using Camtasia and then any editing was done afterwards before rendering. Have you had chance to look at my other videos in this series?
@liamgreen94 Thanks, I figured there wasn't really a guide on YouTube that covered the whole thing from start to finish like, so decided to make one :)
I got cicuit wizard 2 for 2 pounds at school

Do you know how Circuit Wizard compares to Livewire, or any of the other New Wave Concepts software?

@dragos7puri Yer, definitely worth it though if your studying electronics :)

Looks very complicated to me! All the terminology e.g resistors & capaciter has confused me. Where did you learn all this?
GTAandrew 1 year ago
@GTAandrew I took electronics from Year 9 onwards at school :)
