what do you think is better, the Sense UI coming on HTC Incredible or Android 2.1 on Nexus One? i want to get an android phone, been looking at the Nexus One and just found out about Incredible so i thought i'd research the Sense UI to see which is better.

@MrJam1858 Sense UI runs on top of Android 2.1. It is just a launcher and you can switch back to using the 2.1 home launcher at any time. I would go with the Incredible as it edges out the Nexus one as an all around better phone spec wise.

have had a couple of windows mobile phones and the g1, i would only get android its getting better and better, easy to use and you get free music downloads free ytube downloads, off free apps, plus the nexus and bravo running on 1ghz snapdragon plus multi touch, on a amoled screen( low power use but sick clarity ) better than iphone by far, or any DUMB phone... android all the way...

I've heard that current firmware updates and the use of a faster SD card in the device have solved the lag issues

Agreed, bare-bones Android is pretty rubbish, even on Android 2.0.

And as far as iTunes sync goes you'd just need to get 'The Missing Sync' which uses iTunes to put your non-DRM music onto any Android device, as well as Calendars, Email etc. It costs, but hey, with the 90% of free-apps on the marketplace you'd soon make up the difference compared to the iPhone.

The simplest considerations are, HTC HD2 runs Windows Mobile 6.5, the Hero runs Android, the far superior OS.

Also - unlocked, the latest HD2 prices I've seen runs somewhere in the $800-$900 range while the Hero can be found for around $550.

Pretty much. The Eris is (i guess) a HTC Hero for Verizon wireless with a different name. There are different features to the Eris, like no chin.

Don't draw conclusions from your own short-comings. I use Peep all the time and it never crashes on me. I don't notice any speed issues either.

scrolling the browser / through emails etc. its a hell of a lot faster than continually running your finger down the screen.

It's a trackball, many people use it to scroll through items instead of sliding their finger on the screen. It comes in handy at times.
