  • What building is that at 4:13? I think I recognize it.

  • I have type 1 Diabetes, it will be so nice to stop taking Insulin, I've gotten so use to it I can't remember what life was like before I got sick...people just have to remember you have Diabetes, Diabetes does not have you!

  • I was diagnosed when I was 11 years old and I am now 26. I didn't even know about WDD until the summer of 2009. I found out what it was when I was doubling checking the date my now husband and I had picked for our wedding for any holidays.

We got married November 14, 2009. :) I was a bride with Type 1 getting married on World Diabetes Day and my wedding party included a good friend who also happens to have had type 1 for 24 years.

WDD will always hold a special place in my heart.

  • @jemini602 That's pretty cool!

  • Great video! I'm in Copenhagen and don't know where and if something in town is lit in blue today. I think there should be. May go upstairs and see if I can see into town today or not- it's misty and rainy today. Public transport is not great on Sundays or I'd go into town and see.

    Happy World Diabetes Day :)

  • @FengRuiXuee Thank you - happy WDD to you as well. If you go to the flickr account you might find something local from last year. The world diabetes day site also has a list of everything that's planning on being lit up today - maybe something local is listed!

  • Thank you so much for this video, it was amazing :) It means a lot to me to see how much support people with Diabetes get, I am 14 years old and I have Type 1 Diabetes ... I was only 11 when I was diagnosed with it. It doesnt matter how old you r,what race you are, what your gender is or anything - ANYONE can get Diabetes and it wouldnt be their fault. I just cannot describe how much this means to me. I'm speechless. Oh yeah and where you put (very hungry) for most it's actually (not hungry).

  • Absolutely beautiful. I never knew what a huge scale this holiday was on. Sphinx? Leaning Tower of Pisa? Wow. I'm honored. Tell Caleb I said Hi.
