Im assuming you read that on kickers website? Well kicker isnt going to list box sizes that aren't practical for the majority of their customers. I have two 12's in a 8.5 cu ft box tuned to 25Hz and it sounds alot better than my old 3.5 cube box.

yeah 400 watts rms should be plenty. i have 2 12" CVR's and i'm powering them both with an audiobahn a8000t mono amp wired at 2 ohms at 800 watts rms for both and it hits DAMN hard. So 400 is about the max you will want to feed to a 10" CVR.
