  • Nice long term set up .besides the display size. Very nice

  • Love the FOWLR.........and I fucking hate tang police!!!!!! There just contradicting wankers! "oh no that tank is too small for tangs, minimum 7 foot" yet these cunts keep them in 3 foots! If you put a tang in a tank then so long as he isn't climbing the glass Walls or wedging himself amongst LR then he's happy.

  • Hehe I like that "Well, I know what you tank police are thinking"

  • i have a 125g right now....one firefish..haha i had sharks n groupers with triggers then decided to get a reef tank n marine madness i really dont think ur tank is oversticked but its ur tank so whatever haha btw guy who posted this vid in my oppinion u need a lot more rock.. my tank is side to side top to bottom with rock haha

  • if you think this tank is overstocked then go take a look at how people in hong kong keep their fish, you'll be speechless

  • Oh hey, you're from PA too! That's awesome, i go to TFP quite a lot, i'm down by camp hill where i live- so i can't make the drive that much. Looking to start up an aquarium here soon- i'm mostly a reptile guy but reefs look extremely fun to have!

  • Ha, I was watching this and thinking "Man, his accent sounds like back home" (Lancaster) and then I heard you mention TFP in Lancaster!

  • i also have a 55 with 2 baby tangs 1 yellow 1 hippo 1angel 1lion how long did it take for your tangs to stop picking at each other?

  • @MARINEMADNESS123 Your tank is very over stocked. Upgrade or trade for smaller fish. Pretty soon you will have fish dead because a volitan lion will get over 2 feet and the others over one and the hippo just like the lion needs a fish tank over 100 gallons.

  • @PWNINGGOLDFISH i can assure you that RIGHT NOW my tank is not over stocked i realize tangs do need a big tank and we will upgrade to a 250 gallon in our basement soon,i personally haven't seen a tank yet on youtube big enough for tangs since in the wild they live in schools of like 30 or more.A 120g tank would be big enough to house a lion its whole life<my opinion. biggest aquarium kept lion ever recorded was 1'3"...2' maybe in the wild.

Im sorry but tank haters really get on my nerves.

  • Why is it so barren, you have had that tank for 2 years?!?

Your setup is an eyesore. Why not put some color in those tanks bud.

    Live rock -_-

Your fish selection is just, so-so

  • @dankcik09 - yeah put a bunch of artificial tacky ass decorations in there! Dankcik09, the live rock actually serves a purpose.

  • i see a niger trigger in there

  • fml, i hate tang police-_______________-

  • man dude how much money did you spend on allthat?

  • hi,

    I really like your tank.

would you please tell what kind of light you are using on your tank.

I am in needed of a new light for my 55 gallon salt water tank.

    thank you

  • nice

  • wat kind of light is zat.

  • what kind of damsel is that.( the big one)

  • awesome combonation of fish!!!

  • love the niger triggerfish!!!

  • I like that first tank you showed us with the blue light what light bulb is that? and where can I get one. I have a 20 gallon and would like to have that lighting for my 20 gallon. later I'll get a bigger tank but not now.

  • get a lawnmower blenny, that will take care of the hair algea problem

  • Comment removed

  • Love your tank setup looks nice like you fishs

  • By the way I like your overall setup, very cool, it's like a science lab. Very impessive that you are keeping all this without water changes, your doing something right.

  • I used to have algae problems, then I cut my lights back to 5 hours a day and I keep corals with that without a problem. My coralline algae has taken over the tank and adios to the hair algae. I learned this from a guy from Puerto Rico. Try this if you are still having the hair algae problem.

  • Hey Can anyone check out my tank six mths ago and tell me weather it is overstocked??PLEase n Thank YOu

  • what kind of light is that on your main tank?

  • hell yea dude i love that fish place..... sooo tight

  • wow..! Dude Thats a Really Nice Set Up...

  • please e-mail me, I need a list of everything i need to buy to get my 175 gallon bow front tank going. all i have is the tank and stand. please help :) romans4_17@yahoo.com

  • what is your lighting, i have a fowlr too and i want really blue lighting

  • The one at 2:42 is FANTASTIC.....I would do ANYTHING for one of those....ANYTHING!!!!!!!!

  • Your Electricity bill must be sky high!

  • cool tanks

  • Dang I love the 55 gal with the blue light!!! That's what I want mine to look like!!! Awesome man!

  • Really beautiful 55 gallon tank and nicely done

  • Do your tangs get along well? I heard they fight if housed together.

  • I am planning on getting either a niger or picasso triggerfish. Which one should I get? I am really stuck on this decision.

  • Dude! my cousin lives in Lancaster and he used to go to the same fish store for his SW Tank. thats cool.

and sweet video man. im gonna check out the other vids

  • u just got all kinds of tanks lol

  • what is the pvc in the back how did u get the water from each tank

  • do you have algae problems without plants to compete for nutrients?

i'm really green to the saltwater side of the hobby but am definitely looking to keep a peaceful Fowlr tank

  • omg dude i go there all the time ohh my god how ironic hahaha

  • yeah that yellow tang is really pale

  • what type of lighting setup are you running?

  • nitrates 20ppm wow, your hair algae is due to phosphate, yet another problem due to no water changes. also your yellow tang isnt healthy it is pale and that is the 1st sign of unhappy fish, take advise and get a phosphate reactor and do a 25% water change weekly for 4 weeks then test your water quality and reduce water changes to 15% weekly! I promise u that there will be a massive difference in the way your fish react. they all look miserable. look at my juwel vision 450 video and c for urself

  • wow i cnt grow even abit of algae....my yellow tang cleaned the whole tank in 2 days when i got it..

  • i love that fish place. the stingray tank is awesome

  • hey dude whats the size of ur mangrove tank what sand have u used what is th filteration how long did u season ur water how many lts does it hold

  • @ 6:06 did you say your nitrates are @ 20 ppm? NO NO NO! both your nitrates and nitrites should be @ zero! Time for a water change. and for your hair algae problem you should invest in a lawnmower blenny,

  • How many pound of live rock is in there. . . I am trying to start one on a budget and cannot afford 300 dollars worth of rock.

  • I'm not exactly sure how much I put in. I think it was between 50-75 lbs. Yeah, live rock can be pricey. You might want to buy the cheap base rock/dead rock and add a piece or two of live rock with it. The live rock will seed the base rock over time.

  • @YamahaF934 you can get live rock on line for 2 or 3 dollors I had the same problem and i tried it out and got 2 dollors per pound. its a good deal

  • what type of live rock was in the 55 gallon? about how many pounds

  • @showtime302 you should never measure live rock by pounds, you should have enough rock, that if you stuck it all of it to one end it would fill up 1/3 of the tank, because the thing is the lighter the rock the better, because that means it is more holy which makes for more surface area for bacteria to grow

  • i had a bad algea problem with my salt water tank too. i used the lights less often and it helped some. I understand you dont want to kill your inverts though.

  • I actually took this tank apart when I set up my 150 gallon tank. The algae was on that rock good. I had to boil it to remove the algae. But doing this kills everything on the rock!

  • I had a set of rocks I kept outside and would hose off the dry dead algae when I would rotate them with the rocks from the tank. It was a bummer the live rocks would die and lose the nice colors they had.

  • r u going to sell that 55 gallon? if so i am interested and man uve had those fish for a very very long time. i had some for about a yr. and i thought those lasted a really long time

  • I have it in storage, but probably won't sell it. I still have the other 55 gallon setup as a hospital/holding tank. My hippo tang is almost 4 years old now!!

  • dam

  • @tkreefer Do you need a circulatorfan currnt thng? for 30 gallons???

  • If it is a FOWLR tank, then you do not need a powerhead for flow. You need good flow for corals and anemones.

  • @tkreefer ok Thanks!!

  • @tkreefer it helps with dead spots in the rock

  • The yellow tang is actually good in a 55 gallon, but the blue tang is not in a recomended space.

  • Where did you get the Fake corals?

  • What fake corals?

  • your system is so beautiful! I'm just starting out from my college apartment and I can only hope to have a setup like this one day. Looks like I've got more research to do. :)

  • Thanks!! Lots of research is the key :)

  • i live near that fish place that pet place i get all my reef stuff there its the best!!!!!

  • Yeah, It's a great store!

  • Hey it looks like your tangs could use some green seaweed, its part of there diet and it adds color and keeps them from getting head and laterial eye corrosion

  • Yeah, since I moved them to the 150 gallon tank I have been giving them alot more sea veggies. There color does pop out with more of this in there diet! Thanks!

  • Yeah, any time

  • i love the nigger trgger

  • tang police, lol

  • Damselfish can be real basterds.

  • hey if ur micro algea over grows i will take some out of ur way for free or some money

  • your velvet damsel is nice hes huge the biggest one ive seen thats good how you can keep your first fish that shows that your really commited and dont let anything slip good job and really good looking tank i like your rock structure

  • Do you have any suggestions on media and or plants for my sump?

  • Not bad. I hate the shape of the 55 not enough floor space

  • well atleast hese not growing a lot of drugs LoL jk

  • is the 3rd one a 20 long

  • You got it! 20 Long.

  • thanks man and your 150 looks sick

  • nice tank dude im switching my fish to a bigger saitwater tank whats the easiest way to do that

  • It would be best to keep most of your current water as well as the most important element......the bacteria. You definitely want to transfer your live rock and/or live sand over to give the tank a great start with bacteria. If you don't have live rock or sand, make sure you transfer the other substrate in your old tank over to the new tank. Also you should transfer the canister filter or hang on filter over to the new tank to get the nitrifying bacteria going.

  • I'm a representative of the Tang police. Have you moved those Tangs into the 150 that you mentioned? The bigger they get the more stressed they will become. Nice fish.

  • Please disregard. Just saw your other videos.

  • screw the tang police I have four i a 55 and one large Purple tang

  • You must be so proud to admit that you don't give a shit about your tangs. What a asshole. Do some research on tangs.

  • I want to do this exact thing. It's an inspiration.

  • Thanks!

  • did you say it's been a year since the last water change on the tank with the Regal tang? i am doing 5 gallon out of 55 gallons every sunday. how is this possible?

  • Yes, the only reason that was possible is because of the refugium and mangroves, Also only feeding once a day or every other day. All the fish that were in that tank are now in my 150 gallon and doing well:)

  • I like your mangrove tank =)

  • Thank You!!

  • wats the thing in the top left hand corner of the tank im a noob...lol

  • The small units on each side are powerheads, they produce water flow in the tank. The box in the upper left corner of the tank is the overflow box.

  • scraping it off is pretty much the only way... good ole' hard work

  • How do you keep the back so clean of coraline?

  • Yup, like blueshoes said, scrape away.

  • Nice tank! How often do you have to chang the ligth tubes?

  • cool video!

  • Very cool. I'm planning a 55g FOWLR.

  • Thanks!! Good luck with yours.

  • what is a FOLWR tank i just got a 10 gallon saltwater and i have a 55 gallon saltwater

  • It means Fish Only With Live Rock!! It is a tank without corals and uses live rock as the main filtration.
