I think that interviewer actually made a lot of sense when he said that Colin Firth played Mr. Darcy the way we've always wanted Mr Darcy in the book to be and look like whenever he's around Elizabeth. All that staring and brooding, when it's done by him, is immensely sexy. The charm still works so well when he applied it to Mark Darcy in BJD.
Someone out there was reading these comments -you have to see Lost in Austen (if it ever crosses the pond!) where a modern girl trades places with Elizabeth Bennett. Brilliant, hilarious, absolutely delightful - and sounds like a lot of us.
darcy is my dream man! why can't there be romance where you don't have to show your body. Less is soo much more. I like the period when of Pride and Prejudice. I was born in the wrong generation.

He gets that look on his face when asked about Mr. Darcy....like oh no...not again!
