For any of you guys who can't read this is a "fight class" at Krav Maga worldwide they have authentic Krav maga, fitness, and fight class. Fight class is kickboxing, bjj, mma and so on. This is NOT Krav Maga but KM worldwide teaches authentic km.
Hey idiots. I train Krav at this studio, I'm 14, and I'm brown belt going for my black. This isn't a hard-core class they're filming. It's called a beginners class. We don't want them to puke yet. And trust me, these guys aren't fakes...
@hipopotan1992 im pretty sure this is a straight beginner course maybe. And also keep in mind that training centers in us are "softer" than other places because the us is such a sue-happy country.
information for those who want traditional krav maga and not this aerobic kind of kick boxing search only, ikma of gidon, ikmf of yanilov and moyal and kmf of haim zut and mizrachi.and for those clowns who exploit naive middle class anti terrorism freaks sitizens by saying learn in 3 months to kick asses in the streets fuck off.krav is effective but you need to put your soul in this to master it.
@Al3KzZ So true. I have been practicing Krav for about 2 years full time under the IKMF. Its hard, but definitely effective, plus the higher the grade you go, the more aggressive it gets. This definitely looks like a beginners class.
too bad you are an aerobic class american posers.real krav is hardcore and traditional.go to a class like this and learn absolutely nothing.those guys are jokes.they just want your money.those who thumb this are naive or dont know nothing about this brilliant system
@Al3KzZ krav maga worldwide was founded by darren levine, who learned krav maga from its inventor, so i have a feeling an instructor with kmw knows what they are doing... but thats just an assumption i suppose
from what I've seen, some Krav Maga centers refer to it as a martial arts, and other say that its not a martial art (look up the website of krav maga centers across the us and you'll see what I mean). Some Krav Maga centers crosstrain with other fighting systems (like muay thai or taekwondo).
@Taurus8763 But isn't that martial arts. I mean a lot of martial arts today have been adapted to fit sport situations for example Japanese Jiu Jitsu has been adapted to Judo and BJJ. I do both Japanese Jiu Jitsu and Krav Maga and this is what I call Martial arts. The others are sport martial arts.
@Taurus8763 Their not martial artists? Anyone who trains for realistic fighting or self defence with or without weapon could be considered a "martial artist". martial art= arts of Mars (the Roman god of war)
we had an instructor in the family, he showed me some basics. I've done about 4 self-defense styles before this, I really liked it more the the rest so far, something I'd really incorporate, along with muay tai and bjj, and of course tapping into anger issues lol
its different because it focuses on real situations only. if you take a karate class you wont know what to do when you get taken to the ground. If you learn Bjj and you cant take someone down you wont know what to do. If you take boxing and bob you will get creamed by kicks or takedowns. MMA classes are the closest thing by putting it all together but in those they work within certain rules of the sport which don't apply in real life. Also won't know what to do against a knife or gun.
DaAvi8a... I'm sorry, but you are sorely mistaken. There is NO SUBSTITUTE for learning from an actual instrutor. You try to do it just from a book and you're gonna get yourself killed, my friend.
I have a krav maga book and it only shows kicks that aim at the legs only. I knew you could kick at least waist high. This is probably the most practical martial art today. Not easy, but almost anybody can learn it.
Yes.This technique is taught in the Practitioner-1 level (that is the 1st level). You can see that most of the guys can't even make a proper fist. An advanced student in Krav Maga is much more dynamic and Agressive.
Yeah, I take Krav and I agree with you on this. These kicks are mostly taught for athleticism, and at the place I go to they spend very little time on them, and far more time teaching kicks and techniques we would actually use.
The reason is because Krav Maga doesn't focus on kicking. It's majority punches, elbows, knees, stuff like that. One reason they don't is that they do not want to give any person a chance to grab your leg while you are kicking.
Drewki...you're right as well. A good kick would do some serious shit do you if you tried to grab it. However, from what i understand, that is the main reason why kicking isnt focused on as much. but, if it works, use it cuz we are talking about self-defense afterall
yeah krav maga was developed by a man called imri he was a jewish man and he based it the most common movement of the human body so its very easy and practical i practice it and i love it worth every penny
Its highly apparent that they're beginners, just pay attention to the female's inside block, she didn't move her head relative to her block, she just stood there.
Krav Maga is not an art form it's self defense plain and simple. Proper form is important mainly to generate power. All of our strikes are supposed to be devastating. The goal is to completely incapacitate the attacker so you can get away safely. And remember there are no rules in Krav Maga so it doesn't matter what kind of kick it is as long as it works to your advantage and makes sense for the defense.
True, it's simple and based off real human reflexes. It's easy to retain a lot of the moves. I haven't taken any professional training, and even I can do some of the defense/counter-attack moves.
those kicks are actually not typical of krav maga... we dont like kicking high where the leg can be caught... i suspect they were just trying to warm up/stretch out in those drills.
to the ppl going on about how bad the kicks look you must not do martial arts as you would kno by this video these are beginners in a self defence class ..
Yeah Muay Thai style round house kicks are so ineffective. I mean theres no jump spinning wheel kicks, no flashy axe or hook kicks to the head what were they thinking?? Wheres a good outside crescent when you need it?
You must be mad cause you're one of the guys in the vid..lol To bad this school is EXTREMELY sloppy!!! those are some pretty crappy roundhouse kicks and for you to compare these kicks to Muay Thai is a joke.
Na I'm not mad, and no I'm not in the video. I was just being sarcastic.
Most of the people in the video probably are just beginners. Krav kicks are actually based on Muay Thai roundhouse's. I do know that instructor and he did have a pretty good career as a kickboxer when he was younger. Like I said I think the students in the video are probably just average folks learning so just cut them a little slack is all.
I think you're right CaydensDad, They probably are just beginners, But hey if it gets them in shape and they feel like they're improving good for them. It just seems a little sloppy to me cause my style has alot of deep stances And is Very Strict and Disciplined, Everything has to be sharp. But to each their own.

If there isn't an instructor within 200 miles anything will have to do.
There are no instructors in the city I live in neither, so I had to resort to teaming up with a mate and learning by the book...
Maybe it isn't better then being with a qualified instructor, but who cares. =]

Also..its redundant for the students to say Kida...its like the teacher saying "bow!" and then the students responding with "bow!"
