I must say , you did A DAMN GOOD JOB on this.Very impressed.  My only complaint is on the superman icon, I think you should've graft the logo off the original, and also you also should've used the universe background of the "Superman Returns" opening, I was still impressed with how that was done.

I think you should've use the original S logo intro from the first superman and inserted it at the point where it would appear if your attemp was to keep it in the style of the original. The cartoonist S logo kinda distracted the whole sequence from it's intent.

Personally, I think Superman Returns should have been Superman 3. Then it would feel like a true trilogy to the first 2 Superman movies.

Let's get on with the Reboot already. Superman Returns was brutally terrible. Lex Luthor was still walking around with a moronic woman accomplishing nothing. A genius like him would not have made his own continent and then just sat on it playing cards. BRUTAL..... Brainiac NEEDS to be a part of this new film series.
