  • silicon fail

  • germ defenetly... ;))

  • Germ! Throaty and full.....Sounds old school...Dig!

  • woah!!!

"i guess you gotta have them both" - lol

  • I like them both, the Germ seems to be a more full bodied tone where the Silicon is a little more in your face!

  • @inscizor

that could be. it also it could be that he gave more pressure with his fingers and plec. at the beginning the silicon sounds just low, with less tone. i actually dont know what is the cheaper one related to the price...

  • silicon for me definately.. the germ sounds too harsh to me

  • 4:44 - 5:06

you know, I dig the tone, but I think it could use some more sustain

  • ugly shoes

  • ooooo I like that germanium.... ;)

  • Germaniun has a more fuzzy sound, little too much. I would go for the Silicon

  • @razenderke too much fuzz?

  • I have number 7 of 10 of the NKT275 OxFuzz's, and it's easily the best Ger. fuzz I've used, easily. Seriously, get an OxFuzz, amazing tone!

  • jack black?

  • SILICON - sounds slightly brighter and smoother

GERMANIUM - sounds a little fuzzier and more nasaly

***like always, it depends on what other gear you're using, how all of your gear complements/works against each other, what sound you're looking for, how it feels, and what you're willing to pay.***

  • Please demo one of these puppies with a univibe pedal PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

  • Lovely! What's the title of the song from the end of the vid?

  • Holy shit I need to buy a Germanium OZFUZZ. Sounds fucking INCREDIBLE!

  • nice! i love my nkt274 Ge OXFUZZ.........it's a great fuzz.

  • what transistors are in there? nkt 274s?

  • The germanium Oxfuzz has the greatest BALLS !!

  • Hey, whats that song in the intro? Awesome Demo! Keep Rockin!

  • "Evil Eye" from the black crows

a great interpretation of a first time a child watches Willy Wanka lol

  • Damn G... volume on full?? These sound much better with the volume at 3:00.... dig it.

    peace

  • agree with you!

  • @oxfuzz I normally have my oxfuzz vol at 3:00 and fuzz 100%

  • really awesome when used together!

  • The maker of these pedals is the brains behind a band called Sons of Otis out of Canada. Check them out if you dig slllooowed down doomed blues. Killer pedals too! The Germ is on my list.

  • whats the opening song?

  • lol sorry i just want to hear what hes got to say about them. thats the first and last time ok

  • I always love the phat-ness of germanium fuzzes. Bare in mind that GMD is using a strat with a maple neck so the tone is gonna be a little brighter, the germanium will probably be even darker sounding if your using a humbucker equipped axe with a rosewood or ebony board. I like the smooth sustain on these.

  • never buy multi fx, i invested in that shit, but when i bought me a decent amp, it was collecting dust after being used for only a minute..

  • im still gonna get one. its good for recording and just getting used to using effects

  • I told you these were awesome fuzzes! If you ever have the time or your just really bored, could you maybe demo one of em or maybe both with the blues junior? (and maybe with the strat too, even though you don't like it haha)

I'm still liking the germanium more for the smoothness and creaminess. But it might be a bit too dark. I don't know...

I also love the way these things clean up

  • is it possible to have distortion without sustain?

  • yeah, get a boss pedal haha

  • the germ sounds a little more creamy.

  • and sustain sounds better feed back too

  • that is some maaaaaaaaad sustain

  • Those are some FAT germs in there!

The Si sounds good in its own right.
