My first guitar.. Was a bear to learn on though, that round back kept slipping from my lap ( I bought a thing called Slip Grip to put on the back so it wont slide) I enjoy playing it now, has a very low action and easy to play lead. Sounds ok acoustically but when plugged into my amp it really shines!
I have a celebrity ovation. It's 20 years old and sound just a good as it did when my husband brought it for me. When i plug it in wow what a sound. Love the ovations. favorite guitar.
Still going through a blue period? --Blue walls, semi blue shirt and now, blue lenses in your specs. -- Thank god the guitar is red. (Sounds good too).
That's a pretty Celebrity! I had a 1984 Ovation Collector's Model which is made just like your Celebrity but was a charcoal color. I played it for 10 years and loved it. After I started developing my serious "overhang" up front I found it difficult to play because of the round back...it wanted to turn into a lap guitar when I played it while standing...and so I had to go back to playing the traditional design acoustics...lol. It's a very versatile guitar with a great sound.
Not to be a jerk i love the video but i had to be the first to put a thumbs down

Hi Mark! Awesome guitar!
What size of chords do you use on this Ovation Celebrity? 0.10 or 0.12?

i heard that this guitar sounded completely garbage when it wasn't plugged in, is it true that without an amp this guitar is really really quiet?

would you say that the single sound hole guitars are better for playing acoustiicly?

Hi Mark
I bought one last week (second hand). I love the sound, although I'm still getting used to it.
The back has taken getting some used to as it tends to slip a bit when I'm sat down.

good to hear from you Mark. The first chords had me singing "Small Town" by John Mellencamp. Hey maybe a collab? LOL. Good informative video.

Good review mate, thank you.
Have always liked ovation guitars, they certainly have their own sound.
