@sdoieqwfjhweoiuhasdo no, you can do reformatting as an option, If you want an other O.S on the same HardDiskDrive you should reformat it to delete the preveous one because two O.S's on one HDD will slow it down tremendusley.

@Designing5 u sir obviously don't know anything about computing... everyone knows windows 7, and vista are just for show. they run slow and have tons of problems, windows xp runs extremely good, it is 100 times more stable and has better compatibility with programs then windows 7 or vista could ever hope

and if u doo try it itl just show up a blue screen after it sais setup is starting windows xp.

@Designing5 I will say this once. THIS WAS BEFORE WINDOWS 7 WAS RELEASED, MEANING THIS WAS THE BETA. THE BETA WAS VERY BUGGY, AND WINDOWS VISTA IS A PIECE OF SHIT. WHILE WINDOWS XP IS UGLY, IT WAS THE MOST STABLE WINDOWS OS AT THE TIME.

This would be great if it worked for me. As soon as XP boots from the disc, I get a blue screen and never even get the chance to format my drives. I think this is an error specific to my system though. Great video.

you usually have to reinstall the drivers for your computer's hardware in addition to reinstaling the OS - there should be a disk that came with your computer that will allow you to reinstall the driver for your speakers and your graphics card - if you can't find it, find the name of your speakers and your graphics card under (control panel - system - hardware) and then download the drivers online, probably for free.

Another thing is if you have a SATA hard drive windows XP won't have drivers installed to load XP. You need a program like NLite to load them in before starting

ok, the command doesnt come up because this kid forgot the first step, you have to restart your computer, and when the screen is black, keep pressing F2, you will get a screen thats blue or something, i forget , but then go over to boot on the menu, after that go to cd rom drive or something im writing this off my memory. and enable it. and then save everything thing and restart your computer and everything should go as planned.

usually. most of the time when you do an update when you're all done the basic drivers will reinstall. but for printers and webcams and others, you will.
