In any case, I recently bought Carnival's album and personally I prefer Lee Juck and Kim Dongryul solo albums to Carnival's, but I love both of them. They are probably two of the most talented Korean musicians today.

The guys, Dongryul Kim and Juck Lee wrote this song and their original is way much better. 김동률과 이적이 쓴 이 곡, 이들이 부를 때가 최고네요. Some re-makers never ask the composers' permission but it is a kind of unethical. 나중에 부인이 있긴 했지만서도, 인순이가 '후배 곡인데 뭐 어때?'하는 생각으로 별 연락없이 가져다 썼으리라는 것 쯤은 충분히 예상이 되는 일이지요. (물론 결과적으로는 김동률, 이적... 저작권 혜택은 좀 보았겠지만요.) 제 친구 열린음악회 PD였는데 인순이의 기고만장함은 정말 PD들 사이에서 기피대상이었다고 하더군요. ("밤이면 밤마다" 한 곡 밖에 히트곡이 없던 한물간 가수였던 자신이 열린음악회 덕분에 기사회생한 것을 잊고, 오히려 자신때문에 열린음악회가 떴다고 배은망덕을 부린 인물로...)

Insooni is definitely a better singer than Lee Juck or Kim Dong Ryul. But this song was written by them, and is designed for their two voices (that would normally conflict with each other and sound terrible) to harmonize in a unique & perfect way.

Insooni's version sounds a bit off to those who have heard the original because she's singing it by herself - the harmony at parts of the song (@1:29 ~ 1:46 , 1:58 ~ 2:15 , 3:30 ~ 3:48 , 4:00 ~ 4:16, and the ending) is the key point of this song.
