@mrgdud22 your an idiot. Blades are spinning fine. It looks like they are spinning slowly do to the speed of the camera (FPS) and the speed of the blades (RPM) are almost the same. If the head speed on the heli was slower or the FPS of the camera were a little faster the blades would look like they weren't moving. Maybe if you understood math you might get it......

There are to many videos on Youtube of cameras shooting the same fps as the main blades so they look slow or stopped. Those blades are doing over 100 MPH in that video. @jamesrichardson63 its an optical illusion due to how many pictures the camera takes a second. just like a car wheel looks like its moving bacward or standing still, the human eye operates at 32hertz.. 32 cycles.. or "frames" a second.. a camera is the same. most helicopters fly at 450rpm that'd be around 7 rotations per second, a helicopter cant remain airbourne when the rotors spin only once every 4 seconds

@jamesrichardson63 oh i gather your concept, of utilizing the thrust against gravity, but whats the point, also there are no control surfaces when the rotors arent moving at speed. but the clincher here is the audio, you can hear the rotors biting the air, and you cant say theres another helo making that noise because its in phase with the rotation of the bird, and stops when it levels out and takes off.
