There's alot of remakes of games (Which is good, i've loved them) and there will be alot more remakes, but Gen 5 just looked..Bad. Gen 1 pokemon were well thought out and looked imaginative but lately it seems they've been running out of idea's.

The Mystery Dungeon series and Pokemon dash are good examples of running out of idea's.

The Johto Pokemon got the best evos (like Sneasel and Murkrow)

Gen 5: I like a few, but if you put most of them with a Pokemon from 1 of the 4 other gens together in a double or triple battle, you notice a difference in quality. Most of Gen 5's Pokemon seemed cartoony in comparison to the older ones (like Vanillite)

Gen 1: Best Pokemon, with the coolest appearances and even now many are still useful. Some crap here and there though (like Farfetch'd)

Gen 2: Liked the new evos, but most of brand-new Pokemon not only looked more appropriate as plush toys, but also sucked in battle (like Delibird)

Gen 3: The same as Gen 1, though there's more crap (LUVDISC)

Gen 4: The same as Johto, but some Pokemon had weird-looking new evos that almost make me prefer leaving them unevolved (like Rhydon).
