GTA IV ram drops

humm man I have the same problem as you do I have 4gbs of ram but the thing is it dosen't act this way with other games have any thoughts?

i use win xp because of my ram for gta4 btw. it runs alot smoother on xp (gta4)

maybe its because you have dual-chanell ram (2*1 GB) but im not sure

i have:

AMD Athlon x2 5000+ BE @2.6GHz

2 GB DDR2 800 Bufallo RAM (1*2 GB)

nVidia GeForce 9500GT 512MB GDDR2

and the game works fine on my PC,im playing it on 1024x768 resolution

I have 4GB of ram now, so the problem is gone :P

Are you using XP or Vista? Vista uses a lot more ram

hey m8 im looking for some help and id be greatful if you could help me out in any way.

i have this game on pc but the grpahics werent working at 1st,i looked on the gta graphics thing and it said somthing like "RAM 250/144" (not exactly acurate just example) before my pc had 2 gigga bites or somthing now i upgraded it to 4 gigga bites should it work ok now?

i have an Nvidia Geforce 8300 card aswell,so it probably just the RAM that wasnt working do u agree?
