Its a Cannondale Leftie fork. Looks ugly but a brilliant design, half the weight and just as strong as a normal two legged suspension fork. Also the leg is on the left to even out the weight of the front cog set and makes it much more symetrical weight-wise. Hope this answers your question.

I saw a bike in a magazine that only has one half of the fork. Maybe this is it? They said it worked quite well but seems crazy to me.

i noticed that too...maybe its been locked out?or bottom out,stuck down...
